Fence grabs should be an immediate stoppage with the offender put on the ground and the other guy on top in an advantageous position.

Blaydes looks like he's done. That's why I hate allowing fence grabs. Dude had zero penalty for grabbing it 3x and now Blaydes is gassed and gonna lose.

Don't think the fence grabs in this bout were significant enough to accomplish anything. Definitely not as egregious as the others on this card.

Betting odds just went from Blades -450 to start the fight to Kuniev -810 live after the second round.

ETA: those also happened < 2 minutes into the fight. Could've been a huge change in how that entire fight goes. That HAS to be punished and should be very harsh.

It's true, fighters rarely get penalized for the first infraction of anything--eye pokes, fence grabs, crotch shots.
You could actually plan to get away with those things once if you were a dirty fighter.

Im so disgusted with the heavyweight division. You've got Aspinal as the champ and then they're just no one else. Who is there who can challenge him? Gane?
Cap heavyweight at 235 and create a new super heavyweighr division for 236-265. Encourage everyone down to flyweight to stop cutting 30% of their bodyweight and move up to the next class up. It'll get a few light heavy weights to fill out the dead HW division, a few middle weights to move to LHW, etc down the line.
We get one decent HW fights every 9 months or so, and only 3 or 4 shitty ones in-between that. Im growing tired of 90% of the fights on any given card being under 155.
This card was a legitimate exception
