Where is Edgar in this deal? Where? The dude was a champion and has beaten the best and the little jackoff Irishman gets this shot?

Edgar will kick his arse if the UFC has the guts to match that. They won't. They want to ride the prick for all he's worth even though he is not the best in the division.

Apparently not very happy that the UFC went with Mendes.

Gonna suck for the UFC when Mendes wrestlefricks McGregor and they end up with Aldo/Mendes III which no one wants to see.

I'll put a large sum on Conor finishing Mendez before the 3rd round. 5'9 and lanky is huge for 145... Its hard to deal with his length and power in that weight class

I don't think it goes the distance. Either Conor by KO or Mendes by SUB.

Smart move by Aldo by pulling out

We don't know how good Connor is against a wrestler. If money wins then also fights and beats mendes again

Ever had a bruised rib? You can barely breath normally much less fighting. I'm sure you gave Jared Allen a few bruised ribs

I fractured mine two years ago and I would aim for his chin, not the ribs!

Pretty pathetic that this is for interim title.

Yeah, that's a silly marketing ploy and nothing else. The guy has to miss one fight, not some extended year and half layoff.

Aldo pussied out just as I predicted he would when the fight was first announced.

Yeah, you should totally put your title on the line with an injury that severely impacts performance.

These McGoober fanboys are ridiculous.

With all of the promotion they put into this fight, I think they had to make it a title fight.

Is this a big or small cage?

I saw that analysis. They should stick with the small cage for all fights.

Allen because his checkbook is bigger and although he may break my neck at least he wouldn't take my head clean off like McGoat.

I thought for sure you'd go with McGoober because it would mean you touched him.

No I would get in, get out and collect the biggest check possible. Its what this game is about. Oh...and you speak his name in vain now but after July 11th you will be in line with the rest of them to kiss his feet and beg for forgiveness. #ConorBless

Its a retarded move by Aldo, VERY risky. Most estimate he would have made over 3 million for this fight, which would be more than he has made in his career as he has never made more than 240k + a 50k bonus in any one fight , and when Conor won he would have gotten a rematch that could have made him more. It actually would have been EASILY in Aldo's best financial interest to lose the first fight so there would be a rematch and the ribs were the perfect excuse.

Now if the impossible happens and Conor somehow loses to Mini-Mendes Aldo will be back to fighting other FWs and doing 200-300k PPV buys which means he will not get any PPV money. If Conor wins as he should things will work out for Aldo but if somehow Mini-Mendes pulls off a miracle then Aldo cost himself millions. I can guarantee you that on July 11th there will be no bigger McGregor fan on Earth than Aldo.

It will be a big cage. I am almost positive they only use the small cages for Fight Nights, never for PPVs especially one this huge.
