When Taira has enough wherewithal to be that pissed off in protest, they should have let it go a bit longer.

Ref let him get nuclear CTE in rounds 2 and 3. Calls it there lmao

Both so young. Flyweight's gonna be fun for a while.

Was thinking the same thing. Kind of surprised the ref called it there.
Awesome fight though. Even though Taira lost, he gained a fan tonight. I haven't watched too many of his fights, but that little fricker has some heart. Can't believe he came back to make that a decent fight. Thought it'd be over in the 1st or early 2nd after the start to it.

Van was about to win that fight 49-46. That fight wasn't nearly as close as they were acting like it was. He did zero damage with takedowns. At one point, Van had more significant strikes on the ground than the other guy did. And Van was on the bottom.

I understand why yall are upset with the stoppage but his fighting spirit left with the last 2-3 body shots and wasn’t even lifting his hands. Body language did a 180 and he was about to eat some vicious shots

Yeah if they were going to call it, it should have been a couple of rounds ago. I didn’t like the stoppage there.

I feel that was a great stoppage
I don’t see that at all. Japanese kid was actively trying to evade, had already came back from further down in the hole, and was cognizant and throwing his mouth piece à half a second after he stop.

Not a great stoppage IMO but that missed illegal knee was way more egregious.

No reason to land the kill shot. He was done. Agreed on the illegal knee

Van’s only 24. We have over 10 years to watch this kid dominate.

Pantoja will be back. He saw how Taira was able to take Van down, he's thinking about how he'll be able to do the same.

[ missed illegal knee was way more egregious. ]
That fight could end up being a no contest.

What did Van say to Pantoja at the end of the interview? I missed it. Pantoja looked like he didn't like it.

Let Taira hit the ground before you call the fight IMO. He was in deep, deep shite either way but it was way early.
Still wondering how a flush illegal knee gets swept under the rug though lmao. I had no dog in that fight but that pissed me off.

My guys in the corner. Great defense in the final round. I've said it before, if Van ever takes training seriously, he will have a nice run. Stoppage was ok.
Posted on 5/9/26 at 10:57 pm to Big Fat Guy
"Get your shite right, we can run it back."
Posted on 5/9/26 at 10:58 pm to lance814
Does Strickland have a chance in hell tonight
Posted on 5/9/26 at 10:58 pm to subotic
Idk why I’m watching this I want Sean to win but he’s getting dry humped for 25
