You don't think Islam can't hold Volk down? Volk been talking it up pretty good but he even knows when Islam gets on his hips its done. And Volk doesn't have the power to end it. Gonna be ugly

Think if it was anyone other than Volk the odds would be closer to +500/-850, but he has the pedigree.

Someone more fight wise than myself..what is the gameplan for Volk? This thing absolutely can't hit the mat early in any round and he survives it.

I think volk needs to stay on his feet. Maybe stuff thebtakedown or get taken down early a few times and get right back up. Wear down islam(probably not) and make him want to stand.

Islam said he will be around 80kilo(176 lbs) at fight time. That's not only a significant weight adv but a strength adv. The way Islam manhandled Drew Dober who is like a bull is just impressive.

I’m finding it kinda crazy that Volk is being talked about like just another stepping stone and not the p4p #1 fighter in the world. Don’t get me wrong, I think Islam wins it but I don’t think it’s going to be that easy. Volk is a monster in his own right and I think it’s going to be a war

Islam in the 2nd via submission. Just too big, too strong. Sure hope I'm wrong though. Volk has to stay off the mat to have any chance the way I see it. If Oliveira couldn't hang on the mat, I can't see why anyone else could do any better.

He’s gonna have to create a lot of angles and different looks with his striking.

Craig Jones has definitely helped with his grappling, but submission grappling and mma grappling aren’t always the same. I just think islams over skills in the standup and ground grappling are too much

Fight day baws!

Jamahal Hill episode of Rogan is up. Seems like a real soft spoken, humble dude. Pretty sure he’s stoned . Hope he reigns for awhile

I just discovered these Rogan mma pod episodes and they’re awesome. Expert fight talk from the fighters themselves with the biggest fight fan ever (joe) makes for some good stuff. The Paul Felder episode a couple weeks ago was great

Mma fighters seem like the best interviews in sports.

The mindsets of these athletes have always been fascinating to me

Even the fighters who aren’t ‘good’ are special individuals. They have to be so mentally tough to do what they do

It's because fighting isn't really a "sport."

They're mindset is much more akin to a soldiers mentality than some guy who tries to hit or throw a ball or drive put a piece of leather in a basket.

Picked Emmet on my main card parlay and I don’t feel great about it. Praying for a big right hand

Im rooting for emmett. Yair is so dynamic so im hoping emmett tries to grind him. Yair is a beast though. I kinda questioned his toughness about 4-5 fights ago but he made me look stupid since.

Whats everyone think about randy brown being a +250 underdog? Seems like a huge step up for his opponent and its not like he hasnt been winning.

Of all the UFC double champs who went up in weight class, none of them beat a dominant wrestler. It's all been strikers.

Randy Brown is a live dog… definitely the best underdog bet of the night. You can even grab him to win inside the distance at +700.

Worth a shot on both his +250 money line and +700 prop above.
