Main Card
Islam Makhachev vs. Alexander Volkanovski / LW Title fight
Yair Rodriguez vs. Josh Emmett / FW Title fight
Jack Della Maddalena vs. Randy Brown / Welterweight
Justin Tafa vs. Parker Porter / Heavyweight
Jimmy Crute vs. Alonzo Menifield / Light Heavyweight

Prelims
Tyson Pedro vs. Modestas Bukauskas
Josh Culibao vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan
Shannon Ross vs. Kleydson Rodriguez
Jamie Mullarkey vs. Francisco Prado

Early Prelims
Jack Jenkins vs. Don Shainis
Loma Lookboonme vs. Elise Reed
Shane Young vs. Blake Bilder
Zubaira Tukhugov vs. Elves Brenner

Should be a great main card and prelims. UFC's first time in Australia in 3 years. Crowd should be electric.

I expect Volk to compete well but Islam to eventually get the tap. Think Yair gives Mexico another champion, setting up a fight with Volk. Randy Brown is a live underdog vs. up-and-coming JDM. the first two main card fights should be fireworks.

Such a top heavy card

The main event and the co main are gonna be awesome, but not much star power for the rest of the evening

I'm a big Volk guy but I think Islam probably does get him unfortunately

Can Volk mount some offense against Islam? It's hard to see anyone getting any offense going against him.

UFC really has put together some good cards for the start of the year. Felt like last year was kind of lacking in some ways

Definitely lacking that but lots of folks think Jack Della Maddalena is a real contender in the making. It's a chance for him to get a huge win in front of the home crowd and sell him to the international audience. The first two fights lack any start power whatsoever but will be bangers. Me like bangers.

I have to admit I am just unable to muster any hope for Volk. I think this looks a lot like GSP/Penn 2 once the cage closes.

I want to agree with you….

But if there’s anybody that can upset Islam, I think Volk can. He’s so damn good at FIGHTING

If Volk had true knockout power I'd like his chances even more, but I don't think he gets to accumulate punches on Islam. Makhachev will wrestle early and often, unless his pride keeps him on the feet. Would be a big mistake.

Ill be real surprised if islam doesnt manhandle volk and just control him on the ground.

I am also rooting for emmett.

Main card kind of whatever besides the 2 title fights. Parker Porter should never be on an $80 PPV card. I know they lost Whittaker vs Costa which hurt. I mean I watch everything but prelims aren't anything special.

This fight is essentially McGregor vs Khabib except the gap is closer.

Islam is a step or 3 below Khabib with his grappling. Volk is a step ahead of McGregor with his strike power/ intensity.

Still a decent gap. If Volk doesn’t get a KO before he gets taken down then its probably over.

Main event Sunday afternoon over there? I’m not complaining because it makes it easy to watch here but that’s weird as hell. I remember ufc 280 in Abu Dhabi Islam vs Charles was around 3pm here.

Yes early Sunday afternoon.. Sydney shows were usually early to mid-afternoon but Perth is 2 or 3 hours earlier I think (it's a 40 plus hour drive between the two cities)

280 wasn't going to be a big draw, so ESPN could afford to air it at a normal time there.

I think Conor vs Poirier in Dubai went on at like 3 or 4 am there.

Having a crawfish boil for this bad boy Really rooting for Volk but I think Islam is just to big. Dosent he walk around at like 180?

Card is kinda weak after the the co-main. Would have looked a lot better if Costa-Whitaker would have stuck

If he can't KO Holloway or Ortega what makes you think he can catch Islam? This is gonna be a Dc vs Hendo type deal but Volk ain't packing an H bomb. Gonna be ugly.

I think it becomes interesting if islam cant hold volk down. Maybe volk can wear him out or beat him by decision . Just slim chances imo. Huge props to volk if he can beat islam.

I don't see how Volk wins here, but it will still be fun watching him in Australia.

Current odds:

Volk +300
Islam -400
