Agree. I was being conservative. Jan is a big fella.

I was shocked to hear Dustin Poirier say that when he fought 145, he walked around at about 190 and would go into fight week around 163. It's mind blowing that he had anything in him on fight night.

Been waiting to see this guy, he impressed Week 1 of DWCS in August. Crumpled a guy with a brutal liver kick early in first round.

MAIN CARD
Israel Adesanya vs. Jan Blachowicz TITLE FIGHT
Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson TITLE FIGHT
Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling TITLE FIGHT
Islam Makhachev vs. Drew Dober
Thiago Santos vs. Aleksandar Rakic

Adesanya by TKO
Nunes by TKO
Yan by decision
Islam by TKO
Rakic by decision

I want to see Yan vs. Sandhagen next so bad.
Also, Rakic/Santos winner against Prochazka would be fun. I think he beats Reyes.

Izzy just said in an interview "don't be surprised if I weigh in at 193".

Not saying they're alike in any way, fighting wise but Adesanya absolutely mauled Costa (another power guy) just a few months ago.

I think he's going to come in with nearly the same plan. He's so long that he's juts going to try to Muai Thai/calf kick the shite out of the Polock.

It's going to be extremely difficult for Blachowichz to just walk Izzy down if he's getting the hell tagged out of his calf every time he gets close.

Izzy is coming in so light so he he can be lightning fast.

It's going to be extremely interesting, you basically have a super middleweight fighting a heavyweight.

I've also learned that skill usually favors raw power in fighting.

Look at the old Cane Valasquez - Brock Lesnar beating. Cane destroyed him and he was probably 30 lbs lighter.

Look at Fury vs Wilder... Fury technically took him apart (different sport but still so many similarities).

I haven't seen the Vegas line, but I'd assume Izzy is a slight favorite.

he isnt gonna have that huge reach advantage on jan. he had a 8" reach advantage on costa it will only be 2 on jan. costa had the dumbest gameplan anyone has ever seen in a fight. so dumb he is trying to say he was drunk in the cage to cover for it. jan is gonna be on him like stank on shite. dont sleep on jan, this dude isnt just strong, he is a very skilled striker and grappler.

Seems right

I know prednisone is being used to help some people with Covid but it adds too much water weight to you as well

Jan mixes it up lot more than Paulo Costa. Throws a lot more combos and ends them with kicks. Paulo has such big power for 185 lbs that he falls in love with his hands. Jan will surprise a lot of people in this fight. Izzy will be the much faster fighter, but he can’t get hit like he did in the gastelum fight or it will be light’s out. I’d bet on Jan at +185 bc I think it’s a true pick em fight.

I wouldn’t take Anderson at +2500. Nunes is better at every aspect of MMA.

Yan and Sterling will be the best fight IMO. Sterling should dominate the ground, but I think Yan will keep it on the feet. Give me Yan by TKO

I really hope Anderson wins. When she talks Nunez sounds like Rosie Perez trying to do an 70's Cheech Marin impression

You hate greatness? I’d hate to see the goats career soiled by a loss to someone like Anderson

Jan says he will weight 220 on fight night. He will weigh around 20-25 lbs more than Izzy.
