guess I need to find Moore's Clinically Oriented Anatomy and dig it out of the box today.

Looks like Cormier weighed in at 246. Didn't appear he's suffering from that fall yesterday.

Netter is just an atlas though.
Snell's anatomy book is pretty good.

I think Stipe just weighed in at 239. They also weighed Volkov, so if something happens in the next 24hrs, I guess he's the stand-in.

I believe Uriah Hall has not yet weighed in and he had some big troubles with weigh in earlier this year, so this might be a story.

ETA - the two donkeys doing commentary for live weigh in coverage just said Chiesa missed weight by 1.5 pounds. He's been worried about making that cut for a while and apparently has been contemplating moving to 170. After missing he said this is it for him at 155 and he's moving up.

ETA2 - Stipe's weight was 242.5

Uriah Hall just made weight by 0.5lbs. Looked fine. Guess he was just cutting it close on time.

If Cormier is at 246 right now I doubt he goes back down to 205. It took him awhile to get down to that weight in the first place.

The UFC really needs to take over the weight situation. Not sure how they are gonna do it but something needs to be done.

I think the easiest way would be make weight divisions in like 15 pound intervals where you have the 205 to 220 division and you have to weigh in 20 minutes before a fight. They're thinking Holloway got water intoxication. The whole weight situation is a mess because they'd have to collaborate with the athletic commission

Just saw another interview with Dana - he makes it sound as though he was trying to bring in Stephens to face Ortega, and that Ortega didn't want it.

That's crazy.

I don't blame Ortega. It sucks for the fans but other than an ok payday there is no reason to risk your status with a dangerous fight. If he would get hurt in the fight or lose it would be many months or possibly a year before he fights for the true title again.

Ortega didn't want to face the hardest hitting 145er

Would result in a lot of crap fights not to mention the danger to the fighters. Because fighters will always try and cut to be the bigger fighter in a lower weight class.

frick that you want to be a champ? You step up and smoke Stephens and get the interim belt. His status now is did he piss off Dana by not taking the fight which means he may not fight for the belt next.

agree 100%

The options for DC are follows:

1. Rematch Stipe bc of a close decision
2. Brock if it can happen
3. JJ at HW if possible.

I don't see him going back to 205

Id personally would rather the fighters stop cutting ridiculous amount of weight. Or add more weight classes

No way you can cut that much weight and function when a weigh in is 20 or even 2 hrs prior to event. Anyone to try it is an idiot
