Good for Cormier. he deserves a big payday. These guys fight for absolutely nothing compared to what the UFC makes.
It's crazy just how little they pay their big name fighters.

Conor is filthy rich. Stipe made $750k just for showing up last night, plus whatever he got paid to do TUF. Same for DC but DC made $500k just for showing up last night. Both will get a share of the PPV.
Anthony Pettis made $320k last night.
Those three guys alone made about $3 million last night. I'm sure with the remaining fighter payroll and per diem, they had to be over $4.5 million in fighter pay for this one event.
I do think it would be good if the UFC could insure each fighter gets a minimum of $20k. That seems reasonable. That's 60k per year for someone that fights just 3 times in one year. Not awesome, but acceptable for someone starting out, I think. But considering they put on about 20 shows per year, I would assume operating expenses are an insane part of their budget. I don't know what it costs to put on an event at T-Mobile, but it must be super expensive.

33k should be the minimum. It cost a lot to be a fighter

How much? Weeks ago Luke Thomas said he was putting together a segment to cover this topic and I haven't seen anything since.

At least a couple thousand for the lowest maintenance training camps

So, realistically it probably costs them at least $8k per year?

Meanwhile Lensar is going to get a title shot for doing nothing and get paid 2-3 million to test positive for roids

He's gonna make a lot more than that. Dude got at least $6 million for the Hunt fight.

Has to be more. I think I pay $120/mth just for BJJ. That’s no striking, no strength and conditioning, no meal planing, no sparring partners, no rehab, no cryo, no travel.

Luke Thomas needs to get off his arse and deliver some answers, as he promised.

We have had a few UFC guys train at our school plus many lower level MMA guys. If the school is big enough to draw that caliber of fighter, it will have BJJ obviously and also striking and probably Muay Thai under one roof. Also if the school will draw that caliber of fighter, he is probably going to play a flat fee of X per month with pretty much unlimited access to all of it. Those deals are all across the board and sometimes free depending on how tight the owner is with the fighter and how much exposure they might get in having that guy train at his place. It also might be for a set amount on the fighters purse.
Most of our fighters just rolled in our no-gi classes and the head instructor would ask for high ranked belts to come roll and since we are all a team, you just do it. Granted this was in Houston where you had access to some top level jits. Although we had some weights, most of the fighters trained at a separate health club on their own. As for meal planning and all that other shite, you are talking about things that only the top level MMA guys budget money for. Sure all fighters meal plan and rehab, but it is stuff that is just built in to their daily routine.
