I agree.

How is that suddenly, Rousey is in front of Holm to get a shot at Tate?

Seems to me that AT BEST, Rousey should have to beat Holm to get to Tate.

Shouldn't the pecking order be:
Current Champ
Former Champ
Former Former Champ?

Well said. Ronda has hedged on even fighting again with Holm being the champ. Now that Tate is the champion, she is all about another title shot.

She should have to fight Holm to get another shot.

Actually a non-title rematch of Ronda versus Holly is a bigger money fight for UFC 200 than Ronda versus Tate for the belt.

Just read through this thread. If anyone thinks that a 250 lb man who is paid millions of dollars to explode into a run over very short distances and tackle other 200+ lb men while wearing pads wouldn't absolutely maul a 135 lb woman to death, they are beyond help or completely trolling. The impact alone from an unencumbered Navarro bowman or James Harrison simply spearing rousey to the mat or side of cage would likely knock her out. It would 110 percent render her unable to resist the haymakers that were to immediately follow....not that it would matter even if she could resist.

If Ronda wouldn't fight Holly until late in the year but she will fight Tate as early as July what does that tell you?

pretty sure james harrison would win if we went with pancrase rules (no closed fists), he couldn't hit her if he got her on the ground, and he could only win by throwing her out of the ring (royal rumble rules)

Rousey's people have refused to even allow questions about her fighting future in interviews with her since the Holm fight. Dana White said he texted the result of the fight to Rousey and her response was, "time to get back to work".

She has wanted no part of Holm...to the extent that she will not even talk about her future.

Now she is about to get a title shot?

Come on, man.

Conor was looking great, he just underestimated Nate's chin and the impact all those Diaz jabs take on your chin

To me, it just looked like Conor had no concept of the distance that came natural to Diaz. Look at all those haymakers that were just a couple of inches off the mark. When you've been fighting smaller guys, you are used to that landing everytime.

He played it great. Even said in the post fight interview that the plan was to do nothing in the first round.

These people will eat anything up. Its amazing how easily they buy into media hype, regardless of how absurd it is.

There isn't a single female fighter on the planet who could beat a significantly bigger, stronger, faster, more explosive PROFESSIONAL male athlete. The idea of Rousey "beating up" NFL athletes is absolutely absurd. The idea of her beating up Mayweather is just as absurd, if not more so.

The best female hockey team on the planet (Canadian Olympic team) routinely gets stomped scrimmaging against HS boys who aren't even allowed to check them. One of the best female soccer teams on the planet (Germany's Olympic team) has lost to BOYS. The difference in physical strength and overall athleticism between a "top level female athlete" and a "top level male athlete" is staggering, especially in a sport as physical as combat sports are. Could Rousey beat up some average Joe male off the street? Yeah, probably. A top level Pro male athlete, or a top level Pro male fighter? Don't make me laugh.

Just listened to Rogan's podcast w/ Eddie Bravo from earlier today that was to be a UFC 196 recap. 2 hours... and the frickers talked UFC for about 3 1/2 minutes.

I just watched a 9 minute clip on FB of Eddie Bravo talking about the Conor/Diaz fight from that show without Rogan saying 2 words so I doubt that is true
