Naturally. People who love silva also didn't think that him clowning in first fight was a move he went to hoping the fight would stay on feet because he knew weidman was topo strong for him. In fan boy eyes silva just got caught clowning and just ignore that it was a last ditch effort to get weidman out of plan.

Those people think weidman barely eeked out round 1 because silva isn't capable of taking a beating. Damn that leg breaking because silva was on pace for a 10-7 round

From Ariel Helwanis twitter:

Anderson is yelling at the top of his lungs on the stretcher backstage. I've never heard anything like that. A horrible sound.

I'm going to remember that Anderson scream forever. You try not to get emotional here but it was truly heart-breaking. A cruel end.

i'm really disappointed that we didn't see it played out. It was pretty clear that Weidman was going to have his way on the ground. It was going to be interesting to see Silva could keep it standing

Look where Silva's leg breaks. It looks like it breaks below where it makes contact with Weidman's leg.

exactly right

it breaks from the force on the distal tibia of a sudden stop from full speed... although the upper tibia is where Silva makes contact the greater force is applied to the distal tibia and it just fricking broke.

The force is just greater further away from a fulcrum... same reason it hurts more to get hit by the end of a baseball bat instead of closer to the handle.

The MW division is pretty interesting right now. You've got Vitor, Machida, and Jacare all itching for title shots. It also gives guys like Bisping and Sonnen an opportunity.

I just hope Silva retires. It's time

Dana already said Vitor is next in line for a title shot and he think he will get the belt. He has just been lethal in the octagon lately!

It's been nearly 7 years since the division has been this competitive and even before that Franklin had a strong grip on it

Well ya.....mainly just because Anderson is gone! If I had to guess I think Vitor is gonna get the belt in May or June and keep it for about 2 years.
