Wow that kick came out of nowhere. That's damn impressive there. The guy is moving away from the kick too and he still knocked him out

if i remember correctly ... they were comparing that guy to lyoto machida (the style, not the quality of the fighter) and that he had been burning up the karate tournaments and kickboxing circuits ... supposedly the angle at which he is throwing that kick makes it very, very difficult for the other fighter to see it coming

I'm just impressed he could get a flash knockout with that quick of a kick and only catching him with the front of his foot.

Fight Metric Numbers

Condit landed 151 strikes to Diaz's 105. It's like people wanted him to play to Diaz's brawling strengths because they wanted Condit to lose. Condit used a smart game plan and it worked out and frustrated Nick Diaz. Numbers don't lie despite what some on here think. It's funny because even though people claim Condit ran, he out-landed Diaz by 46 strikes.

holy shite i called the fight exactly to the numbers, i had 1,4,5 condit, 2 diaz, 3 a split.

lol stephen thompson is legit. i told my buddy during the Diaz fight that if someone tried to fight thompson straight stand up like Condit was fighting he would straight torch most MMA fighters.

he's already proven his standup to be ELITE with his kickboxing career, but he's never had to fight on the ground and i'm sure he'll be submitted multiple times

almost submitted him. condit had his chin tucked win during that rnc attempt. condit then reversed the position.

no such thing as an almost submitted someone imo

Condit won and it ain't controversial.

What's w/ all the Diaz butt boys whining over an obvious good decision?

(Not directed at SmackD, but all the Diaz lovers)

I thought Diaz won the fight. He was the agressor, he had more take downs, and I thought he landed the better shots, for the most part. That's just the way I saw it.

i dunno

i guess u can walk forward and get a decision despite the guy is slipping your punches and connecting on more punches than the aggressive fighter who is just moving forward.

i had condit easily 3 rounds to two. and if we are talking about damage why does diaz face look more jacked up

Yeah the "agressor" as in moving forward, but he didn't throw more punches or land more.

Case closed.

I'm a huge Nick Diaz fan, but I honestly feel Condit won 3-2. It was a close fight and a little difficult to judge. It was obvious that Diaz thought he had it in the bag, his corner should have been letting him know how close it was.

I'll just agree to disagree on this. Condit did have his chin tucked but if diaz had more time he would have probably got the choke and I felt he almost got his arm under the chin a couple times. He had the body triangle he just ran out of time and went for a very risky submission on the arm when time was running out.

Diaz lost that fight in the second round. The second round summed up the entire fight. All that cute shite Diaz was doing, dancing, arms crossed, dropping his hands and sticking his head out, its nice for the fans but that doesn't score points. If he spent more time fighting and not screwing off he would have won that fight. Diaz lost that fight and he has no one to blame but himself
