Although I wouldn't be too surprised if Couture runs through Nog and gets another shot at Lesnar. He held his own in the first round of that fight before he got caught.

Agreed. But Nog will be a tough fight for Randy.

Vitor Belfort is after Hendo if he beats Franklin I would have to think. Yushin Okami probably also deserves a shot before a Marquart rematch.

Good points.

My bad. Kampmann looked good vs Conduit.

After that perhaps the Maynard/Huerta winner? Frankie Edgar?

Huerta's gone after this fight. I figger Maynard is next if he wins.

I can't quit watching the Silva fight. I have gone back to my tivo 4 times now and never get tired of that knockout. Silva looks like he's in the Matrix and just watches those punches in slow motion. Griffin throws a three punch combo where he got hit hard before the knockout that amazes me how quick he avoided all three punches.

It was that bad that really the only thing u can compare it to is something out of a movie.

This is why intially I think everyone was like ok, this is rigged. If it was rigged they would have made Forrest look like he just got caught instead of just getting schooled and embarrased.

That sounds exactly right.

You think they would have handed it to him underneath the table and just gave the FON to BJ and Kenny or to the Georges.

I read Dan Duggan's piece in the Boston Herald, Kenny Florian bitter for missed opportunity - BostonHerald.com, and was shocked to discover that, according to Kenny, one judge had him ahead 3-0, while another had him up 2-1. I respect Kenny but I found this very hard to believe. Therefore, I started my own fact finding mission.

I confirmed with Gregory Sirb, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission that the scores, through three rounds, were 30-27, 30-27 & 29-28, all for BJ Penn. I also spoke with Dan Duggan, who wrote the piece in the Boston Herald, and he confirmed the information I had was accurate. I then contacted Kenny Florian, via e-mail, and this is what he sent:

Ok if that's the info you got then I believe u. Perhaps they told my team the wrong info then. Neither information makes me feel better. If I was dominating every round and still lost in the 4th, it wouldn't have made a difference to me. I lost. I'll go back to training and doing my best to get better and u can get back to watching fights. Thanks.

Even if Randy beats Nog I don't see how he beats Lesnar.

IF Randy beats Nog, I wouldn't mind seeing him make a run at 205 once again. He can't beat Lesnar. and I'm not saying he would beat Machida, but that is a much more interesting match up then Randy Vs Lesnar part 2.

ok I'll be honest, I am pretty much a casual UFC fan...but I just got the chance to watch the Silva/Griffin fight for the first time

wow

After seeing this fight, is there anyone in that weight class who can mess with Silva?

The Champ at 205, Lyoto Machida. Silva fights at the weight class under that one (185) normally and is the champ in that division.

I'd really like to see Rampage versus Anderson Silva.

The Rampage that fought Chuck would be tough for Silva IMO. I'd like to see Randy in there with Silva or Machida. I think he is to smart to do anything but push Silva around. Of coarse he would be way slower, I just still think Randy can come up with a gameplan as well as anyone and HW really shouldn't be his future as long as Lesnar is there and Randy still wants to fight. Unless its against Fedor at some point.

Thank God. Now I won't have to light bags of dogshit on those judges' doorsteps.

no kidding

i just read on mmaweekly that spider wants the marquart/maia winner vs hendo then him. he wants another 205 fight until then.

i think rampage gets a shot at belt if he wins. evans (if loses) would be an interesting fight vs spider. what's wandy doing? could he be next at a catchweight?

Haven't heard about him since the Franklin fight. They said he had some trouble making 195 for that one so I don't know if he's trying to figure out if he can/wants to make MW.

He would be 104 by the time he gets a title shot at 205.

I see him retiring after Nog.
I believe that's the last fight on his contract if I'm not mistaken.

Dennis Hallman signs a four fight deal with the UFC. I'm going to laugh my arse off when he chokes out Matt Hughes again.
