Is that same short stop playing for them that the announcers were sucking off last year?

yes, he's the favorite to go #1 overall in the MLB draft in July. He's still somehow among the expected finalists for the Golden Spikes despite not even being the best hitter on his own team this year

Ok, cool.

They have plenty of time to read up on all that now. I think today's practice was postponed
why are you being an arse Obviously media bias in rankings is real. I was pointing out to you that metrics also showed they were a great team.

Baseball in a few-game scenario is a fluky sport. A regional tournament is dumb. The MLB playoffs are dumb. A full-season is a much better way to determine a champion.

It's not a better way - and it is just a stupid statement - when the full season has such a wide disparity in talent levels across the conferences like it does in college baseball.

they were only better by adding a few good baseball programs from the Pac 10. Oddly enough, UCLA's 2 conference losses were to former Pac 10 teams. The rest of the Big 10 is every bit as bad as it's always been

Yeah from an ELO and RPI standpoint, the B1G is closer to the Big South or Southland or Ohio Valley Conference than it is to the SEC. It's still a bad conference - relatively speaking.

I don't care. Media bias is rampant in the west. So yeah, I don't trust em.
UCLA was as good as a team that got swept, at home, when it matters.

We seem the same thing many years in the mlb playoffs. Very rarely does the best team win it all in baseball. It’s such a strange sport when boiled down to a couple do or die games. With that said, I think the ncaab playoffs are a very entertaining way of finding a champ

No fan of UCLA but that's an impressive overall record regardless of if you're playing in the SEC or the League Saint Mary's,plays in...because, Baseball.

2001 Mariners...because, Baseball.

1988 Oakland Smash Bros,Athletics ...because,, Baseball.

Just remember how lame single-elimination and one game takes, all at the CWS.

It’s baseball and in a regional format this can happen to anyone . Stony Brook 2012 should have never beaten that LSU team 2/3 but they did

Yeah because the college baseball media is totally west coast focussed.

The best teams in the big 10 (excluding Nebraska) were all teams from the old Pac-10. Weak competition in-conference and a pretty solid OOC schedule. Some teams go cold by tournament time, it happens.
