I thought there is a LHSAA rule that if you forfeit over 33% of season you aren’t eligible for postseason

LSU, in no uncertain terms, told Trey’Dez he needed to go somewhere for better development. Zachary made sense as it was right up the road.

It would be the round of 16. Shaw’s first game.
Shaw would play 16 or 17 in their first game

Can someone please mansplain this to me? U-High has a thorough application process and is competitive (to very competitive) for admission. It's not like admins would just have no idea these kids are good at football. A kid doesn't just "transfer" there.
K-8 at UHigh has 100-105 kids per grade level. I was told that in high school, the number increases to 115-120 per grade. I’m not sure if that part is accurate. But the first part definitely is. I also know that last years 8th grade class lost 22-26 kids to Catholic, SJA, Dunham, BRHigh. So while UHigh admission is very selective in the beginning in elementary school, by the time 7th, 8th and 9th grade years roll around, there are a lot of spots to fill and the application/admission process at this point is not as selective as the process was in kindergarten.

For those of you saying they can get to 24 with a win, its impossible, they are out if they dont win the appeal. You can give them every win on the schedule for this week and give them the points for beating Port Allen and they will finish at best 7.6 and be 25.
That will not be enough, the lowest I believe is 7.7 of the teams right before them, so they would have to get another win somewhere but its impossible. They are out.

The irony of how I attended mandatory meeting with Martin as the speaker. That guy spent most of the time talking about playing within the rules and how important it is for kids to follow the rules and accept the punishments regardless of talent and ability. how teaching players that being part of the team is more important than the victories. Typical stuff but add that to his other main point regarding sportsmanship and humility and it’s been hilarious watching him fail on all his major points to building success. He just seems like a phony at this point..

Did you factor in those teams losing their final games?

More often than not situations like this involve parents doing the wrong not the coach or admin

Excuses.. he’s in charge. And he doesn’t practice what he preaches. He even talked about how his main job is doing the hard things over victories. The players in question were discussed around the water cooler earlier this year wondering how they were eligible and that’s from uhigh dads.

Top 8 teams have a Bye
Only 24 teams make Playoffs
#24 vs #9 in 1st Round

You may very well be right, but I noticed there are 3 teams in front of them with 1 loss. Who knows?
Appeal tomorrow.

What can a coach do about a fake address - I know one coach in NO that actually went to check and 3 weeks later kid moved. It’s happened for years

What's about to happen
Appeal Denied Wednesday > Lawsuit Thursday > All Wins restored Friday

It will certainly get fast tracked given that playoff brackets get set Sunday IIRC.

Yes, I factored in the most points UHigh could get, and I factored in the least amount of points teams in front of them can get, they will at best be around 7.6, Those schools right ahead of them at 24-25-26 all will collect points cause they play in a 8 team district, they gauranteed a certain amount. UHigh basically needs to win the appeal, there is no getting in without it.

Why does the district size matter? Did the formula change ? Power points are all off wins and losses and your opponents wins and losses. The numbers constantly change. That being said, I am not running any simulations and Uhigh could very well be out no matter what.

What I was saying was, those teams are in a huge district and dont play hardly any non district opponets, that way they are automatically collecting points from there distirct wins over each other. Uhigh I gave every team on its schedule in the non district a win(even though i dont think that happens) and then gave them the most possible from its gauranteed district wins, that puts them at around 7.6-7.7. The ones above them, I just gave them the least amount of points do to there non district not winning and just get the gauranteed districts wins and UHigh is short by a win. Therefore, they hold off the cubs for the 24th spot.
