CP3 and TC obviously have great chemistry on the court and off the court as well, if trading Bobby Jackson hurt the locker room this will be certainly be worse.

Ok, I haven't read all the pages, but I'll try to look on the bright side (as I assume most people are negative right now). Tyson's contract is a killer. He has no offense other than what Paul sets up for him. He's a lazy rebounder at times, mostly getting his boards because of his height. Therefore, losing him doesn't do much to hurt the Hornets.
I realize addding Wilcox/Smith doesn't really "add" anything, but to me, it's almost a wash considering what Tyson gives or doesn't give.
So perhaps freeing up cap space will allow the Hornets to make a big free agent acquisition for next year. We all know (and so do the Hornets front office) that there is NO WAY they can win anything this year. I really think they are setting up their salary cap to make a move for next year.

weren't chemistry and character supposed to be 2 big traits for this team last year?
have you watched this year?
Chandler has a lot to do with the suckage. He played with more energy last year, and all together was a better player overall. Rebounding, defending, scoring....
Chemistry my arse. Now we only have 2 whiners, both all stars. I can live with that.
I have a feeling Wilcox will be hungry to actually rebound and play hard for his new team

Doesn't matter, draft Varnado from Ole Miss, isn't Rasheed a FA?

If Wilcox plays well they will resign him. For half as much as Chandler cost.

This could also be an option.

the hornets aren't goin to be under the cap for years

Dude hasn't even played the last month, I think that's a terrible assessment. You're batshit if you don't recognize the long-term ramifications of trading a core player on an obviously tight group of individuals.

again, THIS YEAR i have no problem with the trade. literally at all
but NEXT year...ouch
when i talk about this trade the fact that wilcox and smith are half season rentals is just assumed
i'm talking about next year, and the next, etc

Wilcox will be a top big available in the offseason, his price will be jacked up too hig for the Hornets.

they have to start somewhere...this is the start. Tyson is not a great player....very expendable.

we could have waited until the offseason and there would have been no luxury tax implications
I rarely agree with him, but he's right

we literally asked the thunder to assume chandler's contract. we cut him, essentially. that's it
Almost right. Negating the injuries, Hardin is now what Tyson was a few years ago

AS SFP already said but needs to be emphasized again. Hornets are going to still be $10+ million over the cap next year. And that is assuming we let Wilcox and Smith go too.

Team NOBes is gonna suck next year.
Its the cost of doing business I guess.

and when he has played, his play has declined. I cant believe people are complaining about trading and 8/8 player. Big fricking deal. He's 7'0"...who gives a shite. He is an average shot blocker, average defender who gets pushed around, and has ZERO offensive game. That doesnt even get into his shitty attitude.

again, we'll see what happens NEXT YEAR and the NEXT.
you have no idea what moves could be made or what the roster will look like.
If you think we'll throw Sean Marks out there 82 games then I just dont know what to tell you.

tyson and peja come off the books the same year
until we deal peja, or until his contract runs out, we will be over the cap
