A lot of pensions allow a non-spouse beneficiary. Usually in those cases the designee is a child or other family member with a disability, who cannot work and needs the income for medical and other care. But it can be anyone the pensioner designates.

That's kind of a bad pic of her but I wouldn't say he completely downgraded.
Also the ex-wife is now remarried and perusing her Insta she's deleted every photo that had Tyler but still has a photo up that includes the LA Tech team and his new wife is right behind her. You'd think she'd scrub a pic with her too.

He was quoted in an article saying that the inappropriate relationship with a player did not result in him becoming a father.
But it looks like they later got married and now have a baby. Someone posted family pics from Brooke’s Facebook account on another board.
I read right after Pat died that the pension survivor rule for TN state employees was under review. It allowed the retiree to designate any family member, not just a spouse, as survivor. Some folks would list a young child or even infant as survivor. The retiree could draw until death, and then grandkid takes over for its life. TN could be paying the pension for 80+ years.
It was seen to be unsustainable, but I’m not sure if they changed it. Tyler got his, though.
I also read that he devotes significant time to managing his mother’s estate, so that must be a good chunk of capital itself.
