the big men just simply can't keep up. I mean Durant is 6'9 running the floors on fastbreak.

Even if these hypothetical best bigs literally feast on the offensive end, they have to deal with the pace on defense and the high screen/rolls GS runs. And that's besides KD randomly deciding to go 1v5.

Considering that Cousins could bounce from there after next year if the Pels don't show any promise, they are still not a totally favorable spot for any big free agents.

Must be going off of what the recruiting sites say.

And exactly where will he go that he has a better opportunity. Before you say the shite Lakers, people still forget GSW gonna be around 2 more years MINIMUM.

Pels can max extend him this season and get another star if we can remove shite contracts. However, last time I checked Dell Dumbass Demps is still the GM.

Wasn't this greatest of all time team down 20+ points in third quarter to a Tony Parker-less Spurs team at home before dirty play took out Leonard for the series?

They are a great team, but far from unbeatable. They are not the greatest of all time nor most people's lifetimes. The Celtics and Lakers of the 1980s would be hard to argue against.

LMA is bitch made. Could of made himself MILLIONS by carrying the spurs in the WCF after Leonard went down.

It's a win win for him to say that. Lose and you got that excuse. Win and it's the greatest upset of all time. GOATs don't care, GOATs just win.

I'll always place an asterisk on this GSW team as being "the best ever" because the Spurs had them on the ropes in Game 1 of the conf finals before Kawhi got injured.

They are beatable in one game, but they're not losing to any team in history in a 7 game series.

Warriors would bukkake them. They would score 150+ a night on those " defenses"

2000s Lakers
Would be a fun series. Giving the warriors thes edge with the addition of KD

That's one game. GS has lost plenty of games this year so no, they're not unbeatable and yeah, the Spurs probably would've won that game. If you think the Spurs would've won the series with a healthy Leonard that's your prerogative, but that's still pure speculation. GS has owned the Spurs recently imo. The Spurs were probably too old to hang with GS enough to win the series and Aldridge ended up being a bad fit. Pretty safe to say that GS probably would've won, KL injury or not.

i don't think most people think san antonio would win, but game 1 seems like it would be in SA's favor and a few other games were very close until late when LMA was the go to and stunk.

Ok.

1967 wilt, Billy cunningham, chet walker

Hall of famers

3 of top 50 all time.
Hal leer no slouch.
Luscious jackson.
Wally jones.
An all time powerful inside tandem (equalled by a few teams over the decades) and two of best shooters all time at peak of game.
Lue wasnt born yet. It happened though.

Nah. And I'm obviously a Spurs fan. I had GSW winning in 5 even with a healthy Leonard. Perhaps I was wrong. Maybe if he stays healthy SA hangs a couple of losses on 'em. Spurs obviously were good enough to run with GS.

But GS is obviously more than good enough to beat SA's best punch. No asterisk.
