It’s sad that blacks are still fighting for usage of the n-word amidst all of this. If it’s not okay for white or brown people to use, it’s not okay for anybody else to use. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Same for chicks and their alleged assault by guys years ago.
More about Kaspar. LINK Apparently there was even a lawsuit involving this. Hadn't heard of it until today.

Had to switch to mobile, this take actually melted my computer monitor

I don’t mean to try to tone down any allegations. It is what it is, and I’m sure something close to the truth will come to light.
But when a player says that coach said a ‘version of the n-word’ because the players do, and that it isn’t ok...I call BS. He shouldn’t use it because he is a coach in the current climate. The appropriateness of his usage shouldn’t have anything to do with black players wanting sole rites to the word.

This take on this board always staggers me. Here's how I was taught.
White people (including me) don't say that word because it's a racial slur that white people directed at black people in hate and racism for a few hundred years.
Black people have the ability to use it because they don't have that history of using it in hatred, slavery and oppressing. Groups always have a different ability to joke about themselves. I have Jewish friends who say stuff about their religion and people I never would.
Most of all, I'm 38, have never used the n-word and don't understand white people who act like they're missing out because they can't say it. Why would you want to say it or be mad that a black person can?

Because they're pussies who only feel brave with a mob behind them.

Honestly, if you can't maintain a c average at Texas State with all the help that athletes get, then you probably aren't looking at a lucrative career

If this guy was so bad, why remain anonymous? This is the racial version of #believeallwomen, except here the players don't even have the balls to out themselves.

So what's the racist part? Popeyes? Only black people eat and work at Popeyes?
Our coach and teachers used to say you'd end up working at McDonalds.
Using a fast-food chain as motivational fear is as old as day.

bullshite. You are just enabling the problem. We are being told the word is horrible. Now, you want to judge it based off of context? The problem is the flippant usage of that word in public. If you want to say that garbage behind closed doors to your buddies, so be it.

I don’t want to say it. It’s a terrible word, yes? Then it shouldn’t be used by anybody. This is you catering to the lowest denominator of blacks. They can be better. The lowest denominator of whites can be better too. You can go down the list. I’m not going to defend whites calling each other honkey, white trash, etc.

Every word has context and should be judged in context. I don't know who's telling you the n-word has the same effect on black people as it does white people, but I think that person's wrong.
There's a long history to that word that gives it the meaning it has.

As a white guy, I lose nothing if black people say it to each other. It doesn't bother me if one black person wants to use it towards another.
I honestly don't see why it's worth being upset about. It does not affect me.
I wish we could talk more sporta on this board.

A good chunk of people think it's ok for a player get his scholarship yanked simply for not living up to their recruiting ranking and you wonder why they might not be willing to speak out against the current head coach?

Rutgers went after Rice after a report, they got him also.
