Two Cy Young awards, Three World Series and won't even sniff the Hall of Fame

Tim Lincecum's career in a nutshell, ladies and gentlemen. Has any player ever had as much individual and team success that didn't even come to getting into the Hall of Fame?

What makes you think he won't get in the hall of fame?

Because his career completely tanked after his age 27 season. Four great year won't get you into the HOF unless your name is Sandy Koufax.

Yes-
1960 MVP & 1961 MVP
7 time all-star ('59-'62)
Gold Glove winner(1960)
Played in the 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967,& 1968 World Series.
Still holds the legit single season home run record.

I was thinking about Lincecum lately, and guys like Verlander, Johan Santana, Brandon Webb, Eric Gagne, etc..guys that were once dominant and thought of, as not only the best in baseball, but even up there all-time. Then they fell off a cliff. Some injuries, some steroids, some--I still don't know wtf is up with Verlander. Dude won the MVP just 4 years ago and seemed to flirt with a no-hitter every other start. He was one of the most dominant pitchers of the last 20 years for a short time, then poof. He loses a few mph on his fastball and he's an average starter.
By the way, it always makes me laugh on here when people say velocity doesn't matter, it's all about location and movement. They use Greg Maddux as the example, but apparently don't remember that not only did his fastball move both in and out, he was given the benefit of the doubt 6 inches on either side of the plate, and he threw 91-93 when he was dominating. When he lost a few mph, he became average. While control and movement are vital--even a 100 mph fastball down the shitter will eventually be caught up to by big league hitters--those guys are fricking good. But the harder you throw, the more bats you'll miss and the more mistakes you can live through. And a few mph is what took Verlander from great to OK, and took Lincecum from the Cy Young to being out of a job in April.
But didn't we all know this was coming with him? His tiny body couldn't hold up to that strain with that delivery for too long. Dude got as much out of his ability as almost anybody.

Maris deserves to be in the HOF.

Nobody ever thought of Brandon Webb as an all-time great.

Uhh Verlander is back to being dominate again. Look at his last season and a half. He's finally healthy and his velocity is back.

Pretty sure he's saying "It's HUGE titty"
