quote:Who the heck still talks like that. I got my dad to quit doing it in public, when my parents visited me, and I realized he was still saying it in the 80's.
Reminds of the Bill Burr bit where you're sitting in a bar watching the game and the guy next to you starts using the N-word and then starts talking to you and you're like what the hell are you doing dude?

Sounds like they shouldn't have had the All-star Game.

This is pretty terrible and people who yell stuff like this are unhinged

can baseball retroactively move the all star game from denver?

My response to their reaction was to say, do you really think that i would be yelling that in a bar? I kinda feel the same way here.
Me too. The logical explanation is that he was yelling ‘Dinger’, fans around him saw the mascot in the area, and that’s why nobody reacted like he said the n-word.

He probably is dropping the n bomb but the Rockies mascot is also named Dinger.

The amount of outrage people go out of their way to express over a word shows is insane. One word can have so much power and fear over people.

He’s yelling for the mascot. There’s black people in the video clip and none of them reacted.

You mean you're not???
That's ridiculous.

The lack of reaction is pretty confusing to be honest, but I do hear N word and not “dinger”.
Edit: I was wrong, he said Dinger

Twitter is outraged a Rockies fan yelled the n-word at a black player
But listening closer a few times, I think I hear "dinger" each time.

There's a fan behind Brinson who's obviously yelling and waving while Dinger is on the left side of the screen. Me thinks this is much ado about nothing.

1st one does sound more like the n word but the 2nd one definitely sounds more like Dinger to me.

This is like the spinning silhouette. Once I listened for “dinger” that’s all I hear now.

So brave. I am so glad the Rockies baseball team is taking such a strong stance on something 99.9% of the population agrees with

I just have trouble buying that some clown would actually yell that word twice around a huge crowd of people but lets say he did, he just walked off and nobody knew who it was? Nobody confronted him? Nobody reported him?
I've seen verified accounts on Twitter going on about how they can't believe anyone would try to say he's saying Dinger. But to me, what scenario is more likely? A guy yells the n word in a crowd twice and nobody confronts him or a guy yells the mascots name and Twitter is mishearing a word and assuming a racial slur? Which of these scenarios is more likely in 2021?

Most people arent going to confront a person like that. The person is obviously a psycho and not worth whatever he is willing to do to someone

Oh no. Outrage Twitter is on the case. It doesn't matter what he said, he absolutely said it. Even if he didn't say it, he could have said it and its sad that its so easy to believe he said it but at least were having the conversation.
Think I've covered all the bases.

I mean the Marlins have plenty of black players. It just makes no sense (especially in this day and age) that some dude would just randomly yell the n word (not once but twice, and with a hard r) and then walk away with a bunch of people around him.
