Why would they hype Kimbo so much and ignore the other fighters
because they're all garbage and Kimbo is a name that will draw in viewers... Next week should be the highest rated TUF show ever. If big country looks sloppy in a sloppy win, only the really hard core UFC fans (not hardcore MMA fans) will keep watching. there's football on Wednesday night starting next week.

I'm implying that the hyping of Kimbo and the lack of coverage of others leads me to believe he may pull this one off.
Why would Spike cash in on three shows then let the rest of the season go to shite?
I know Kimbo doesn't get to the finals. That would have leaked 10 minutes after taping but maybe he does beat Big Belly Nelson.

That or they are trying to "hook" the casual viewer in by showing them more Kimbo for these first couple of shows. If they get someone to tune into the first 3 shows that normally wouldn't have, that is a lot more viewers for those episodes than they would have had with the previous TUF fanbase.

Roy Nelson is the only one with a blog on Spike. Read into that what you will.

Exactly.
And Cash is right. Roy is the only one that's not complete garbage and will win it all, get in the UFC and lose and this season will never be heard from again.
Nelson's face good competition 3 times (Monson, Arlovski, Rothwell), and he's lost 4 fights. (Monson, Arlovski, Rothwell and Josh Curran?)

Ah, did not know Roy had a blog on Spike. I don't like Kimbo's chances now. I've read message board posts claiming that Kimbo wins and Kimbo loses his first fight. Both backing it up with "sources".
Who knows WTF to think. Guess we'll have to wait until next Wednesday.

I think Nelson finishes him at the end of the first round personally.

I was thinking if the UFC wants to get new fans by introducing Kimbo on TUF, then those first two fights aren't going to keep them watching if Kimbo loses to Roy. Other than Page/Rashad, there isn't really any reason to watch this show for the casual fans.

The wife and I have been watching the UFC for many years and never have we both been as suprised about the decision as we were last night. Usually one of us can see it going the other way, but neither of us had McSweeny winning the fight. There is no possible way that McSweeny won the first round.
Shivers was all over him the first few minutes of the fight and almost pulled off two nice submissions. Yes McSweeny had some nice leg kicks, but doing his best Kaleb Starnes impressions should have negated those.
They both looked like crap, but if I were an MMA org I would want Shivers, because he looked alot better than McSweeny the entire fight other than his cardio. Shivers looks like his has nice ground and pound and some good submissions and very heavy hands. Make him run his tail off for days on end and I bet he could win a few fights easily.

I agree, no way McSweeny won the first round and agree with you on Shivers. With his size, I think he has a higher ceiling than McSweeny.

Shivers won both rounds hands down IMO.

thank god somebody agreed with me. shivers got hosed. Wes could be good given the right training. has everything u want in a good heavyweight. so far he has the highest ceiling out of the ones i have seen. pretty sure kimbo wins this fight and loses the second. well atleast that was the info that leaked right after the taping.

The show has done fine without the casual fans. I hope Kimbo sticks around though.

I agree that he should have one, but nobody who fights that sloppy of a 2 round fight has the right to say that they got hosed.

The 4 heavies I've seen fight thus far are in for a rude awakening if they ever get to the UFC and have to fight a guy not from the show... A guy who earned his way to the octagon by beating tough competition in impressive fashion...
Roy Nelson, wes sims, and kimbo are the only 3 guys off the top of my head that have faced a real fighter prior to this show

You would have thought that McSweeny would have done better considering the group he trains with. He was terrible.

i have only seen the first episode so far. i dont have a tv right now.
but by hearing everything, I can see three things happening: kimbo beats roy, roy beats kimbo and reaches the finals perhaps, or kimbo comes back after losing. after hearing about the debacle with rampage i think spike and ufc would invest/air kimbo for more than just the first three episoes.
just my opinion though.

That had to rank right up there with one of the worst fights in TUF history. Shivers had to set a record for being the quickest to ever get extremely gassed in a fight.
Sorry.
A) I just watched the second ep.
B) I still don't understand how shivers lost that match. Looked to me like he was the winner of both rounds.

We will see truly how well Kimbo's ground game has progressed next week as we know Nelson will test it for sure.
All the Kimbo talk (here and other wise), leads me to believe Kimbo has more than a chance against Big Tity Country. BTC (Big tity country) seems like a stuck up know it all, bitch anyway.

Country just feels he has accomplished much more than anyone else in that house, which he has, and is lookingbdir some respect. But rampage constantly making fun and forgetting his name is pissing him
off I'll bet
off I'll bet
