I love bowl season, but they don’t make any sense for today’s game imo. A meaningless exhibition with a trophy. More and more players are going to want to sit out.
Just have a bigger playoff and be done with this.

Where exactly in New Orleans is there “Sugar” plantations. I know Louisiana has a rich history of sugar farming, but other than the name, I never hear anything about the sugar cane crop in New Orleans or wherever it is. Roses are a constant visible symbol for the Rose Bowl. Peach Bowl is self-explanatory as Georgia is the Peach State.
Your post makes zero sense. You state peach is understandable yet sugar isn’t. Then you talk about the sugar industry in Louisiana. How many peaches are grown in the city of Atlanta. Just as peaches are grown in the state of Georgia and not in the actual city of Atlanta. There are lots of sugar cane fields in south Louisiana, even though there are none in New Orleans currently. It used to be an even bigger part of the history of New Orleans.

Cotton farming is quite massive throughout central and west Texas.
You still see a lot more cane in Louisiana than you do cotton in Texas

So…the Egg Bowl fits the bill for that this season also. LSU was playing exhibitions the last few weeks.

I have zero issues with the name Sugar Bowl, but when was the last time you’ve visited South Texas? It’s endless cotton fields.
