LSU vs UF. Jacob Hester 5-5 on 4th down conversions.

If you have the momentum and the better team you kick the extra point. If you have a playmaker at QB and not those other two things that night you go for two. It's not really that hard.

Les throwing for the end zone against Auburn in 2007 when 1 second was left on clock.

Yes it was a hook and ladder but was in a bowl game.
Gutsiest was the hoof and ladder in that incredibly long playoff game where Kelvin Winslow had an epic game to help the chargers beat the dolphins (watched it as a kid), many here may not remember or aware of that

When Osborne made that call, there was no overtime. He absolutely would have won the natty if he simply kicks the xp.
Sounds good. Congrats on the national championship.

That makes the call even more badass.
No. That makes the call even more idiotic.

Always massively respected Osborne for that decision.
So easy to say when it's not your team. If Brian Kelly has a chance to kick an extra point to win a national championship or take the unnecessary risk to go for two strictly because of ego and doesn't make it, you are absolutely hanging him in effigy in the streets.

Saban taking out Jalen.
People underestimate how big of a deal that is. You don't pull your starter at halftime in a title game when you're still theoretically in the game.
That said, Bama fans had been screaming for 3 games that we needed to pull the trigger but Saban was loyal.

Your right but a tie is like kissing your sister

Botch Jones choosing to throw it into the end zone instead of trying a 59 yard kick from the 42 against UGA in 2016.
Absolute retard of a head coach but a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Les didn't have the balls to pull Jefferson.

no you don’t. Everyone should hate ties. I’m glad they changed the rules so there aren’t anymore. Always massively respected Osborne for that decision.
What’s wrong with ties
But that being said, with no overtime, you can’t risk the human voters voting you #2 with a tie… nowadays the human voters dont matter

It got me thinking about Tom Osborne in the game against Miami, the national championship game, when he went for 2. Nebraska did not convert and lost the national championship game as a result.

it was a hook and ladder for the TD on 4th and 18 with just 18 seconds left then in OT a 4th and 2 TD pass, then the statue of liberty play for the 2 point conversion. he knew he could not hang with the OU horses through overtimes so he went for it.
And then I am Johnson proposes to his Boise cheerleader gf. Literally the quintessential college football moment of my lifetime.
