In an interview with The Associated Press, the president at the university with the largest athletic program in the country said that TCU and Boise State do not face a difficult enough schedule to play in the national championship game.

Hopefully that will change.

However, I would like for BS or TCU to join a major conference. Yes, I know it's hard, but I would "like" to see it happen.

Im sure they would like to see it also. imagine what boise could do with sec money and recruiting.

I agree that we need a different system, but as it stands now, and with the current sytem, they don't deserve to get in over a lot of teams.

it seems very plausable that the system disagrees with you. if either oregon or auburn loses they very well could get in.

Actually, Boise/TCU are the big winners in all of this. They walk through a high school schedule, have the media suck them off all year. Play each other in a bowl and collect BCS money. Then tell recruits you could be part of history and the first non aq to ever play for the BCS title.

With all due respect to Ohio State prez Gordon Gee: his Buckeyes would be beaten by both Boise and TCU this year. Perhaps handily.

They might could beat ohio state, but could they then go on the road the next week and beat wisconsin or michigan state or iowa, and if they got past 1 of them would they get past another one the next week? I doubt it

Bull shite. If you can go undefeated and have no shot at your sports national championship then what is the fricking point in even being at the same level?

I love it. so VT didnt have the same amount of time to plan for boise? seriously, do you realize how fricking stupid you sound?

You still don't get it. Yes VT had the same time to prepare but for them their SEASON and BCS bowl bid did not hang on this one game. Heck they lost the next week to a 1AA school and they are still going to will the ACC and go to a BCS game.

If BSU loses that game it's game over shut the door on BSU not so much for the other teams.

. Why would OSU in their right minds play them regular season? BS and TCU are good teams. Never said they weren't. But why add one more good team to your schedule when you've already got 7?

This is the same bullshite cowardly answer that all "frustrated" schools are giving. tOSU scheduled the U assuming that they would be a good team. Scheduling TCU or boise and beating them (as so many assume would occur) would have elevated tOSU's rank and removed BSU or TCU from the NC discussion. Certainly taking on TCU or BSU would have been in tOSU's advantage this year (assuming they win as so many already do).

But it is easier to perpetuate a system that prevents the good mid majors from having qualitiy opponents so that teams like tOSU which cant even win all of its games have a reason to complain.

Pat forde is the driver of "The Boise State Bus" so his comments have extreme bias.

Tyrod and VT put up 30 on Boise. I would love to see what Pryor, Posey, Herron, and Scazenbacher would do.

You're not at the same level. You're a mid-major conference.

Flesh this out a little

Right now Boise stands out because they are unusual

Unless you move the university to another state (california or the south)... Boise is probably recruiting as well as they can

RE: SEC money... there is money from the television contracts (around 20 million a year)... but this is a small fraction of what the money making teams generate. And no one but the school in question is entitled to the revenue (tens of millions) of tickets and alumni contributions (often required to get season tickets)

I laugh at the thought of TP flying down that blue field with all those Boise players trying to catch him.

Unintentional irony much?

OSU ran the table and won a NC in 2002

What undefeated seasons at TCU are you pointing to?
