I don't think Casey was the problem, but I get it. Can't fire Derozan. Lowry, on the other hand...

Big mistake, IMO.
He's a great coach, they just needed a bit of a roster adjustment.
I bet the Suns, Knicks, etc. are pissed that they hired their coaches already

This is a situation where you better have your new guy pretty much locked up before pulling the trigger to fire Coach Casey.

Coach of the year fired.
The roster is the problem, not the coach.
At this point they might as well just blow it up. Trade Derozan and Lowry for picks, start over.
