It wasn't a comparison. Oregon went to shite with quickness and it should be a warning to the rest of college football programs that success is limited and you should enjoy when your team has it and not bitch about 9 and 10 win seasons.

Chip did a good job getting them there and used speed for his gimmick offenses.

Mike Bilotti is the one that built that program.

You guys are in bed by the time Oregon is playing.

I had to hear you idiots cry about this the whole time I lived in Eugene (East Coast Bias). Please enlighten us with your brilliance.

BTW, if Oregon was good, we wouldn’t be in bed.

This is right. Nobody remembers what Bilotti turned them into contenders in the PAC 10/12. Kelly built upon that and made them national title contenders. Helfrich was a lazy hire. Should have gone after a more accomplished coach.

Also bullshite to whoever said it's hard to recruit to Oregon. Pacific northwest, about an hour and a half from Portland, top notch facilities. A lot more to offer than several SEC schools.

Belotti didn't make the program.

Rich Brooks made the program.

Helfrich could not sustain the magic.

Simple as that.

Now the program needs a total rebuild...2nd new HC in 2 years is going to set them back a long long way.

Not really, there's a lot of talent on that team.

Belotti didn’t build it he expanded it.
The school was the first to use marketing and advertising to the level it is now. The SID and AD before Belotti deserves credit

he never had the sustained success that chip had

chip lost 7 games in 4 years. yes, bilotti came in and elevated the program, but chip then took it to the next level

This is ignorant.

Not many great athletes. Must recruit nationally. Recruits leave their friends and families for worse weather in smaller cities with less to do
