We've already been told by a major Rox insider that Ryan Anderson will be included in the deal. And he was spot on about Gordon Heyward going to Miami and Jrue Holiday leaving the Pels so he must be right about this as well.
I mean, it was reported by Woj just yesterday that the Rockets and Knicks are working on a Carmelo Anthony trade.

Woj:
The Rockets have fast-tracked the Harden extension with the arrival of All-Star guard Chris Paul, and are turning full attention to completing a deal with the New York Knicks to acquire eight-time All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony in a trade, league sources said.

ESPN senior writer Mike Wise:
Holy monster deal. Rockets nearing Melo deal. Daryl Morey just trumped Sam Presti for the role of America's Most Daring GM.

No prime I feel like Melo will end up on the Rox. Ya boy just made it seem like it was a done deal that Ryan Anderson was going to be apart of that trade.

I'm more willing to bet that the Knicks don't want Ryan Anderson because of his bad contract and that's what's holding up the deal. They probably want Eric Gordon, and I bet the Rox don't want to trade him.

So this was what Toronto was doing the trade to the Nets for.

quote:

Toronto and Indiana have agreed in principle on a sign-and-trade to send Cory Joseph to Pacers for free agent CJ Miles, league sources tell ESPN. Miles will sign a three-year, $25M deal with Toronto, including with a player option on final year.

Good luck trying to outscore that though.

Scoring was never the Rockets problem.

While the rockets won't have as many issues on defense as everyone here claims they will have, they did lose their best perimeter defender, and they will still get exposed in the frontcourt.

A team like the Pels actually matches up pretty well with them but we don't have shite for depth. Dell Demps needs to make shite happen.

Lol they will be abysmal defensively.

Offense will be extremely interesting.

In the playoffs it was. When you only have one real star in James Harden, if he has an off night then it's hard to win in the playoffs.

Rockets were 7th in offensive rating in the playoffs and 4th in defensive rating. Their defense was actually better than their offense.

More stars = better chance of success because it's doubtful that all 3 would have an off night or get shut down by the opponent.

They replaced their best peremiter defender with 9x all-defensive team player Chris Paul, who was also first team all defense this season.

And they also added PJ Tucker off the bench.

Their defense got better.

Yep. Capela should improve defensively too, his rim protection wasn't anything special last year.

Because of Melo? You realize he will be taking Anderson's place right? We just added PJ Tucker. We have Capela at the rim and Paul is replacing Bev, both first team all defense guards. I get you want it to be a certain way but think it out first.

Was it you or boom who used to say all the time that Chris Paul isn't a good defender, he just hunts steals?

Not me. I never really had any kind of specific opinion on Chris Paul other than that he's good.

I don't think I said he's a bad defender. Maybe overrated. Doesn't change the fact that funbunch made a post that wasn't well thought out.

Wow David Griffin took his name out of the Knicks President opening. Wonder how it coincides with this trade. Imo the current GM Steve Mills will get it. He's been angling for it since Phil firing
