The Texans have won two games all season against teams with winning records! Two games!!!
Then Kansas City should have no problem beating them in Houston.

I agree. Should be 6 best teams in the division. Home games decided according to ranking.

We need to improve upon the system that allows for a 7-9 team to host a playoff game.

No kidding. The system we have now works. If you don't want to go on the road, handle your business in your division. It's that simple and it should remain that simple.

This is not the point. Kansas City would still have to travel, and the Chiefs' fans would be denied a home playoff game, and the Chiefs would not get the revenue from a home playoff game.
Well, they didn't win enough games.

Agree 100%. Let them get into the playoffs that's fine. But no way should it come with a home game. Rank them 1-6 only on record

Sorry, Houston may finish the season 10-6, that is not a bad record in the NFL at all.

no one ever said this prior to 2002... that was when you had three divisions per conference, and two division winners got the bye. the other division winner hosted a wild card game, as did the top wild card

No they should not.... you have to get an award for winning your division.... or else resolve divisional play all together....(which will not happen).

can't the reward just be that you're guaranteed to be in?

Lets say the Falcons and Saints both finish 12-4... And the NFC north winner is 8-8.... he NFC north winner should host A playoff game...According to the NFL.. Is that right??? Not really but if you make A division winner go on the road the only alterative is to abolish the Divisions........

They need to do away with divisions and maybe even conferences all together.

The NFL badly needs a committee to determine what teams should be in the playoff. Things like division titles should only be important if two teams are close and the committee needs a tiebreaker to ignore.

There have been only two teams with a losing record to make the playoffs with a 16 game schedule.
