The ball isn't touching the ground in that pic, certainly not definitively.

Assuming? No. It's clear as day that his hand is not under he ball.

his hand is curled under the ball and the ball may have hit the ground or his hand. we don't know b/c we can't see it

all we can see is the side of his hand touching the ground and then a variable mix of assumptions behind the glove

So if a guy catches a pass, runs 75 yards,is tackled and the ball hits the ground, it's an incompletion?

I am just curious to know how 3 steps and a dive towards the end zone isn't considered a "football move"...hell, it's multiple football moves quite honestly.

It was a catch to begin with, but what makes it even worse is that it was reversed. Not sure what evidence they had to make that call.

I don't even know what you're talking about, it's in no way shape, or form definitive in that pic.

Not even close actually.

By rule not a catch. First off the three feet down. He was bobbling on his first step. So there was no three steps down with control. Second you have to keep position through the contact with ground. One angle clearly showed the ball hit the turf and thats when it popped up while he was on the ground. That right there officially made it incomplete. This is not the first time this rule has been seen this season. Just at the biggest time but the right call.

Yes.

It was a poor interpretation of the rule - too restrictive interpretation of "football move".

The fact that it was just the Cowboys getting screwed might make it more palatable but still doesn't make it a good call.

Dez was falling. His two steps were the equivalent of getting 2 feet in bounds. Which had nothing to do with the catch thus making your comparison irrelevant.

That definitely unclear if a football move is made or not. correct ruling should be call on field stands. I don't get how people can forget the rule that is required to overturn a call. That itself trumps the catch rule in this case. It is not clear and indisputable.

The REF standing right there thought it was....

Yes they did. Still a bad call IMO and I hate the Cowboys......

He was falling to the ground as he made the "catch" which in the rules means you need to maintain possession throughout. Which he did not. NO CATCH

Definitely a catch even with the rule in my opinion. He caught the ball then fumbled as he hit the ground.

He shouldn't have moved it to one hand and tried to stretch for it though. Dumb decision.

And they should have just gone for the first down. Dumb decision.

Yes, it's that simple. Not sure how anyone could see otherwise. It was called correctly according to the rules.
