So a couple years ago wr had a thread where we discussed what bothered us the most about college sports. I think there were some really interesting observations and I was wondering that if any new annoyances have come about over the last few years

I think these coaching salaries in football are getting absurd

Coaches dictating where early graduates can’t transfer to.

Couldn't you argue that a guy like Saban has a very school friendly contract seeing as what he brings to the university?

I'm sure plenty get paid way too much but it's a bit of a gamble, isn't it? Hitting a home run with your coaching hire can be so beneficial.

The charade of amateurism. It's a billion dollar industry for everyone else.

Equally, the NCAA setting its internal jurisdiction to ignore things like PSU's child sex scandal, MSU's scandal and UNC's "institutional issue."

I thought you could transfer anywhere once you graduated.

Inequity in college football scheduling and the 3-6 pre wired wins built in to most schedules.

Should minimally require for p5: 9 conference games, 2 ooc p5 games, 1 ooc non p5 fbs game, max of 1 FCS opponent

I think college football is too much of an aristocracy (and I say that as a Notre Dame fan) and that there isn't enough movement between the haves and have nots. Only 15 - 20 programs have the resources to realistically compete for a national title, and it's basically been the same 15 - 20 programs ever since the Ivies de-emphasized football and the military academies decided that they couldn't keep up...and all that happened like three generations ago.

I don't think players should be paid, but I wish the players had a lot more autonomy over their situation (should be much easier to transfer, etc.).
