Couple of quick thoughts...
I loved Jim Kelly. What a warrior. Just seems a bit high.
I think Fouts is generally underrated. He helped usher in the pass-happy game we enjoy today.
I always enjoyed watching Peyton Manning. Talk about command of the field. In 2010 the Colts were a playoff team w/ him at QB. When he sat out 2011 due to injury they went 2-14. He seemed like the coach, QB, play caller, everything. #6 seems low.
Don't you wish we had more Steve Young? Wasted years in the USFL and sitting behind the great Joe Montana.
Love Staubach. Great man. Great teams. I just think our memories of him are bit skewed.

Nice list. Appreciate the time and thought.

Super Bowl appearances, MVPs and All-Pros. He was also named to NFL All Decade Team and NFL 100 All-Time Team, Brees was not.

how much weight did you give Superbowl appearances compared to say MVP?

MVP garnered more weight than a SB appearance.
More importantly, I weighted All-Pro more than MVP. All-Pro selections are QB specific while MVP considers all position players. I think the former is more important.

Based on emotion alone, my list would include Bradshaw #1 and Staubach #2. I grew up with these two and it was magical.

Statically speaking, Roger had 7 super seasons and was a starter for 8. Guys like Tittle, Tarkenton, Brees, Favre, Unitas, Manning and Brady played at a high level for more than twice as long as Staubach. Longevity is important to me.

I love lists but judging QBs on numbers isn't as reliable as, say, baseball or basketball. We have the "eye" test too.

The Cowboys were designed to run the football, and often they had leads in the second halves so Aikman didn't need to throw much. When he did throw the ball, he was accurate on short and deep passes. And he took a crazy amount of punishment his first few years.

Aikman is a top 20 QB all time easily. Would you really take Bob Griese over Aikman?

comes down to more quality seasons for Manning

AKA played in a more QB friendly era.

If Peyton and Montana were QBing teams of equal talent against each other with your life in the balance, whose team are you choosing?

Manning leads all QBs with 43 4th quarter comeback wins.
I don't think his teams were generally as good as Montana's, so he probably had more opportunities. BTW, Montana had 26 comeback wins. Had one in a Super Bowl too.

but his playoff QB rating is 10 points higher than Brady. So if you have Brady>Peyton because playoff stats then Ryan>Brady also

Marino too low.
Elway too low.
Rodgers too low.
Tarkenton too low.
Brees way too high.
Favre too high.

Aikman should be on the list.

Ken Stabler comes in at #33.
Glad he got the call from Canton... was a little too late though.

I also have him above Manning because Super Bowls as well and Super Bowl MVPs and those things, don’t be a simpleton
