Nutty if true. I really didn’t expect him to hang it up after this year.

That would be somewhat of a shock considering he’s still playing at such a high level

“I’ll retire when I suck” - TB12

By those standards, dude could play for 10 more years.

Honestly thought he would try to make one final run, thought he would be too competitive. Also thought he would definitely do a retirement tour where everyone knows it’s his last year. But for him it must be pretty jarring to be the last guy standing (you could debate Rodgers but he’s a little younger) from the great late 90s/early 2000s crop of QBs.

He said long ago that he wanted to play until 45 and he turns 45 next year and he can still play.

I just thought it would be cool if he could end his career by having 100+ TDs at 2 different franchises. But I could understand him retiring consider he needs to start spending time with his kids who are almost all grown.

Not really with the way he has talked. In fact I would be surprised if he didn't.

He might not enjoy the game as much as he had in years past. Also I’m pretty sure his wife has wanted him to retire since Super Bowl LI.

Will he regret not retiring last year and going out on top? It was a big deal when elway retired after the super bowl but it doesn't really matter much now.

Why? Even if he went 0-17 this year would it really matter when he has 7 rings?

Going out on top is overrated compared to going out $25 million richer.
