This. I used to watch everything on ESPN back in the day but when the fake debate yelling got going with guys like Bayless and Stephen A Smith was about the time I quit watching their original programming all together

Marshall Faulk said ESPN lost its way when they elevated reporters and columnist to experts. It’s made fans ignorant and turned talk shows into minstrel, Jerry Springer like nonsense. Bayless was the pioneer for this crap or the vessel ESPN used to push it. Either way he’s underrated in his negative effect on all sports.

This is where skip got his start. He was a permanent host on first take back in the day. He couldn’t get along with SAS so he left to start u disputed on FS1 along about the same time cowherd left ESPN for FS1

I’m not even sure it’s the debate format completely that ruined it. PTI and around the horn were great shows, IMO and they employed that format. I think it was deciding to go to that exclusively and then picking extremely annoying, loud, obnoxious people to lead the charge with it.

Undisputed will be gone and Carton's show is terrible and might be gone. After failing previously with Francesca, getting NYC loudmouth to be a NYC loudmouth to the rest of America, I don't know why they did it again with Carton. Kellerman will probably get in there somewhere.

I don't like Wright that much. But I love his show with Wildes and Broussard. I know Wright is tight with Cowherd. He was saying the other day that he could easily have gotten the other spot on Undisputed, but never pursued it.
I actually believe they give Joy Taylor her own show soon, with a big push. They have some good characters that they haven't featured as much. It will be interesting if Klatt gets a push too. I like his stuff..

Eh, it works if your takes are substantive but when you claim that Caleb Williams in college is the 2nd best QB in the NFL you lose all credibility and it goes from not boring to cartoonishly stupid.

Latest rumor I saw was Skip Bayless was headed back to ESPN to debate a guy named Woody Paige on a new morning show called Cold Pizza. We’ll see.

Been listening to VSIN for 8 years now(sans non-gaming Golics show), and LVSN(for Mitch and Pauly and Cokin and Youmans) before that..
Haven't listened to drama queen sports talk and terrestrial radio shows in over 25 years, sans local LSU coverage in Football Falls. Was a staunch listener of SVP/Russilo/Stanford Steve before downtrodden ESPN had to kill the best radio show to save it's sh!t network. SVP for two hours of daily radio with Ryan & Steve, was far more important to me than in his current nightly hour of day's recap on SportsCenter.
I'm a fan of Bayless brother Rick and Frontera...Skip s@cks..always has since days in Dallas as Cowboy reporter.

He fricked up sports reporting and commentary more than any single human ever. And 90% of it is unwatchable now.
