He is the type of person that assumes he should be in the pros. He can probably stick around A or AA team for years and some small town would be happy to have him. Problem is his arrogance will be too strong and he will quit once realizing he will never be in MLB.

Maybe try golf or tennis

He's definitely "athletic" enough to play pro baseball. Whether or not he has the necessary skill is what will be in question

If he throws baseball like he throws a football there will be a significant expense associated with extending the netting that protects the fans.

Less than 10% of players in the minors make the bigs. Him being there may prevent one team from carrying one player who had no shot of ever making it to begin with.

He's essentially saving one poor lifetime minor league player from having to live off of $1,200 a month.

What do you mean saving a minor league player from that? That minor leaguer may be elated to be doing what he's dedicated his life to, and appreciates that his life work is paying off to an extent. Someone off the boat would be perfectly happy to live off of $1,200 a month.

Tebow on the other hand will likely do this for a year before he gets bored and tries something else.

Who is more likely to sign him: the Sonoma Stompers or the Sugarland Skeeters?

Maybe the Springfield Isotopes.

Life isn't fair. If a club thinks Tebow is a better choice on a roster than a 30th round draft pick I won't lose any sleep over it.

The whole "taking away somebody's dream" argument has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard regarding this situation.

Each organization has over 100 minor league players. If you're the guy on the bottom of that totem pole and get cut for a football player sideshow, you probably suck. If none of the other 29 organizations pick you up, you definitely suck.

Dave Dombrowski says the #RedSox will send a scout to watch Tim Tebow's workout.

Boston would love Timmy

If you've been toiling away for years and you're not better than a guy who hasn't played in a decade, you should probably move on.

I think he sees the type of people that dedicate their entire existence to baseball and bust their butts to get a tryout and Tebow gets one based primarily on his name value. I could see how that would irk him

He has a smooth swing and I read an article about him facing a guy throwing low 90s and he was right on every pitch. So maybe he does have the ability

His athleticism wasn't the problem with him at qb. It was the fact that he couldn't stop throwing the ball into the dirt, with a wide open receiver 5yds away. His athleticism is the only thing that kept him on the field.

Wasn't he actually a professional athlete recently? Or are you talking about baseball only?

I'm also guessing that most of us realize at 14, or earlier, that at least 20 major league organization will not show up if we announce we have been training in preparation to try to make a major or minor league roster and will hold a closed workout.

Maybe it's time for you to grow up and realize you're not the athlete that Tim Tebow is.
