Before his last surgery, his swing wasn't capable of legitimately competing. It was pretty bad.
And yeah, his health will always be a concern. He could break his back on his next swing and I wouldn't be surprised.

His game was a major issue his swing would get so out of whack it caused him to spray his driver all over.
He then lost confidence in putting as he was trying to drain big putts just to do his "normal" thing.

So his game was the issue if he can not control the driver. The best part of Tiger was his short game and uncanny lethal putting.
