He pured it. Listen to the contact on the overhead replay, it was pure.

This.

Personality-wise, Tiger isn't for everyone.

However, everyone respects him due to his talent and his impact on the game.

I kind of like Sergio. Golf needs personalities. He's a self-depreciating, honest, and emotional roller coaster - not sure what the hatred is for him?

the only legit rival to Tiger during his tenure is Phil and their accomplishments are not close taken in whole. talent wise Phil is the only person remotely close and his window of top level golf is closing fast.

Sergio is like a lot of other younger talented golfers---all talent and not the proper mentality to be consistently good.

The supposed rivalry with Tiger was all media hype. Sergio should have 3-4 major championships right now and he has failed. He'll be lucky to ever win one.

Lol no. His arms locked up on the downswing and he basically flailed at it and tried to guide it with his arms. You think Sergio "pured" his wedge and couldn't carry it 120 yards?

How could you possibly know this?

Tiger gave a perfect account of his thoughts on 17 in his interview. It was interesting to hear.

And even if Sergio hit it pure, doesn't mean he hit a good shot.

sergio went for the pin on 17, trying to win the tournament.

he absolutely did. his shot was right on but it was a 5 yard difference in the wind. he could have played it safe and played to the middle of the green but he actually went for the win right there. I do respect that.

@tigerpimp: he obviously didn't put a full swing on it, but yes I think he hit his intended shot.

@bamafan: did you see where tiger's ended up? it was at least 20-30 feet short of his intended target, and would have been in the water had he gone for the pin. According to shottracker, Tiger's wedge went 127, Sergio's 126. The difference was in their target line, the wind knocked both shots down

Tiger would have hit a completely different shot if he was going for the pin. Comparing his shot to the left to going for the pin makes zero sense.

Tiger tried to play a cut to use the LtoR helping wind to his advantage but it didn't cut and the wind just stood it up

He wasn't not going for the pin, he was just playing a shot that was slightly safer than attacking over the bunker

He wanted to use the slope a bit more

His breakdown of 17 was great to hear. I love hearig golfers explain what they were thinking. And the amount of thought that goes into it. It's amazing.

Sergio went for the win plain and simple, he hit the shot he intended to hit just didn't execute. I also think he hit it clean but the shot has such a small margin for error it didn't work out. I respect him for going for the win instead of middle of the green but that's the difference b/t winning and losing. If he stiffs it there we're talking about how he stared Tiger down and won, but it didn't happen. The second shot was irrelevant b/c the tourn. was over essentially for him. Tiger was the most consistent player all week and won in the end. I think Sergio played a great stretch of holes to get back into a tie for the lead just missed clubbed on one shot. I also think he took a bit off of the wedge he hit and that is what cost him.

Lingmerth went for the win. Stuck it close. And misses a putt.

Sergio went for the win. Got wet.

Tiger "played it safe". Makes par and wins.

Funny how those who went for the win didn't win. Tiger played smart. He knew the wind was changing at the green.

He "took a bit off" because he locked up on the down swing and got his hips through first. Nerves got the better of him. Funny how when Phil went for it and hit driver into the tent at the open, people on here bashed him for playing stupid and going for it. But good for sergio for aiming at the pin and hitting 2 shite shots in a row in the water. Frick sergio.

Obviously you know how to play golf...by knowing exactly how to take a bit off a shot. When you get "locked up" and got his hips through. That means he would have blocked it right but didn't took a bit off and wind caught it nuff said. It's ok to have a agenda bro no one is mad

You guys are funny. Sergio not skilled and talented? Are you fricking kidding me. How many people here have won a players, been on many rider cup teams and has won double digit pro tournaments areound the world? To say he can't hit the big shot, one only needs to look at how he played 17 when he won. Now, with that said...the guy is a fricking mental midget that can get mind fricked watching bugs bunny.

As for Tiger, people either love him or hate him. I think he is ok and likes to joke around.

Yes, I have an agenda: to point out that Sergio Garcia is a complete pussy.
