I thought he was mostly good and entertaining. Judging by the responses, you either like him or hate him in this role, and I understand that.

He had a point last night during the LSU game where he kept doubling down on a catch that he thought was ruled incorrectly.

Objectively it could've gone either way but it was called a catch so that call was upheld. It just seems like he didn't want to be seen as wrong so he kept going on and on about it, seemed very unnecessary. If you think it's a bad call, it's fine to say so and then move on, not continue to talk about it for 3-4 minutes. It certainly would not have been an egregious call either way.

Saw him a couple of times. He thinks he knows everything about football. He's an idiot

My only complaint is that he really loves him some RG3, constantly referencing himself. Otherwise, he’s pretty average 3rd string color guy.

He tries to use $1 words to impress us when a .25 cent word is perfectly fine.

Cotton Bowl USC-Tulane:

“The Green Wave used prestidigitation on that play!!”

Seriously??

He is extremely annoying.
He talks just to hear himself make noise about 75% of the time.

I like him. I like that is enthusiastic about the games and doesn't say the same old tired phrases. I thought it was hysterical that he called Ole Miss co-eds "Miss Americas in red shirts" because that is the most accurate description of them.

I like that he is willing to make a call and stand by regardless of what BS the review team forcefeeds us. And he was right- it was obvious that ball was moving around.

And yet, he was also accurately calling what the next play would be with a good explanation several times last night, so maybe he does know a thing or two.

He was wrong on the Brian Thomas TD call and his sundae-Sunday joke was okay the first time, but to use it twice is pretty bad. I hope he doesn’t call anymore LSU games anytime soon.

Regardless, you don't want to turn fans off on either side because you boxed yourself into a corner with one of your comments and you feel you have to defend it.

I think most experienced commentators would've said some version of "I think that's an incompletion, but you never know how these will be ruled." He didn't give himself any wiggle room. To me it came across as he was more concerned with appearing right than anything else.

RG3 needs to be in the Studio. Way too much stupid shite during the game.

I respect him for shutting on the refs when they made bad calls. Other announcers have just glossed over when the refs obviously fricked up.

I didn't think his technical analysis was too bad. His predictions became comical, though. "Watch out he's going to #8 this time" as the camera pans to #8 on the sideline. That said, he had one of the greatest lines ever in the Jesus/Cross thing. All-in-all, a mixed bag, but I'll take some more of him in occasional doses as long as he says stupid cringey shite like the Jesus stuff.
