I'm not judging TRob based on 51 games. I'm just saying... He hasn't been good, and personally, I think his upside is pretty limited. We'll see.

My super Rockets fan brother says it's a flip. Robinson won't be a Rocket for long.

T-Rob and Asik for LaMarcus Aldridge.

Dwight Howard to Houston this summer.

Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Chandler Parsons, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Dwight Howard.

Yes, please!

Could be clearing even more space for offseason or future. If hey keep Robinson he will cost less that Patterson. Prior to this they were going to have up to 18 mil to spend in offseason. They are 7 under now. So can take someone in last year of contract if Robinson is a flip

Josh Smith is possible. I really like where this is going. Morey is the man.

We'll see. They did this before the draft and nothing much became of it.

More to come is word. Even this alone opens up another 1.5 for next year. Putting them possibly close to 20 mil. Some talk they can take rip Hamilton this year and his expiring contract.

Absolutely love this deal. Kid's got huge upside, and if it doesn't work out Terrance Jones and D-Mo are right there licking their chops for some PT.

On a side note...did anyone catch the game against OKC tonight?! Clutch City! Harden

I guess Houston got the better end but not by a lot. TRob just isn't good.
Rookie years:

Patrick Patterson:
16.7 minutes, 3.8 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, 6.3 points

Thomas Robinson:
15.9 minutes, 4.7 rebounds, 0.4 blocks, 4.8 points

Not much different... except for rebounds.

Robinson has as many rebounds per game in 15.9 minutes as Patterson does this year in 25.9 minutes.

Patterson is a "stretch 4", and Robinson is not.

It's not like Patterson is some world-beater, so it's not a big deal for Houston to take a risk with a very athletic rookie who was the #5 pick in the draft, and who Houston was hoping to land in the draft anyway.

Rockets have nothing to lose and everything to gain with this trade. Plus, I'm not convinced Robinson is here to stay for good.

I would have started attending more Rockets games if I could just scream "Jimmer Fredette, Nothin but Net" everytime he made a shot.

exciting time to be a rockets fan. I don't think Robinson will be on the roster for long.

:bump: for trade deadline.

i am going to throw a goddam fit if we trade pieces to get josh freaking smith of all people. i'll never understand why teams do the sign and trade when they already have cap space. you just give assets away when you can get the player for free in a few months. especially for a guy like josh smith.
