Are any of these guys legitimate starters in the NFL outside of maybe Cam Ward? Mel Kiper (awful) has the following players in his top 5:

1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
2. Cam Ward, Miami
3. Jalen Milroe, Alabama
4. Carson Beck, Georgia
5. Quinn Ewers, Texas

Other potentially draftable quarterbacks include Dart (Ole Miss), Gabriel (Oregon), McCord (Syracuse), Shough (Louisville), and Rourke (IU).

And now you can see why Nuss was #5 for a while

I'm no scout, but I have a hard time seeing any of those dudes as full time successful starters in the NFL. That said, there's been some shite QB play in recent years, so anything is possible.

Ward and Milroe both need to be drafted by the right team to have success. Ward has the talent but I’m not sold on his work ethic. Milroe needs to sit for a few years and develop. Dart is the youngest QB in this class and wouldn’t be a bad 3rd to 4th round pick to develop. I wouldn’t touch any other QB in this class after that.

While I agree it’s a pretty weak class of QBs, I still believe maybe one could become a starter. I truly believe a QBs success in the NFL has much more to do with the situation they get drafted in and to which head coach. Mahomes isn’t anything close to what he became without Andy Reid. Same for Brees and Payton, Belichick and Brady, and several others. These coaches are probably 70-80% responsible for a QBs success

This is true for every QB in the NFL

he’s gonna get drafted high but I think he is going to be a bust

Same. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that at best most of these guys aren't going to be in the top 3rd if QBs. One of these guys might surprise but I don't think we have a future top 5 QB out of this group.

The only one of those guys that I think may have success is sanders and the baggage he comes with is obvious. I wouldn’t have a qb on my board in the first 4 rounds.

Ward- erratic. I always thought Mike Leach was profound when he said accuracy is by far the most important trait for a qb. If he isn’t accurate it’s a nonstarter. Ward is not and makes terrible decisions every game

Milroe- a lot of the above. Dynamic athlete, can’t throw

Beck- as mid as mid can get. Kenny Pickett, Daniel Jones 2.0

Ewers- him and sanders are the smartest in this class, but his arm strength and durability are a real concern. On 3&10 he’ll through the 5 yard out

Has upside but definitely a project guy that you take late. Zero percent chance of being an impact full time starter in his first 2 years

Spot on assessment from what little I’ve seen of him too. He has great arm talent and makes some amazing throws, but is just not accurate or consistent. When I watched him play, it was something like a miss on a wide open receiver on 1st down, a completion on a throw behind the WR on 2nd for a 2 yard gain and then an amazing throw on a triple teamed receiver on 3rd down for a 1st down or TD.

I only watched Syracuse twice this year, but I was impressed with McCord. He seemed like a different QB after he transferred.

Ewers has elite arm talent. I think he just might be a pussy. He freaks out badly with pressure. He’s like a Derek Carr clone.

Ewers objectively does not have elite arm talent. He’s an accurate short to intermediate passer, but elite arm talent, absolutely not

Overall arm talent is adequate; does not display velocity or zip on drive throws further down the field.

Arm strength is an area of concern in almost every report. Again, he’s good off platform on short to intermediate throws, but deep balls or when he really needs to zip it into a tight window is where he isn’t as good. All year, when Texas gets in rhythm and in front of the sticks they’re deadly, but if you can get them into third and long Ewers couldn’t bail them out. Not many QBs can, but we’re talking about taking the guy to be your franchise qb for a decade plus
