Totally a shitty collapse but at least they got things like the division title and 2 playoff wins (so some stuff to build on). Still just sucks to not finish the job.

. I understand the second 4th down call, but that first one would have kept them up 17 and stopped SF momentum out the tunnel.

You 100% have to kick that FG to go up 17. It isn't even debatable. And it isn't hindsight speaking. It's common football sense.
If it had been a 10 point game and a FG makes it 13, then ok. But the difference between 14 and 17 at that moment was enormous.

HC lost bc he forced his own strategy when it didn’t make sense. He just wanted style points

That second half was the best Drew Brees football of his career. The fact that they overcame that massive deficit at the half to get a 1 point lead at the end was impressive. But Vernon Davis destroyed that old arse Gregg Williams defense.

when your HC constantly goes for it on 4th down, as a routine thing, no matter how stupid it is, you dont have a good HC

NFL argued in court and court agreed the nfl is classified as entertainment just like Wwe. It’s scripted. Relax. You are watching a different version of scripted wrestling. Circuses and bread
