Jordan was 40, dunce. He wasn't a top 50 player in the league.

Lebron is 34, still considered the best in the league. (As was Jordan at the same age. Jordan was in the middle of his second three peat)

Lebron is on his 16th season

MJ was on his 14th season when he went to Washington

Just food for thought

Not really

His team success will, but success as basketball players are neck and neck, with MJ slightly ahead for me

I must have missed where Michael Jordan laid an egg in the NBA finals like Lebron did in 2011.

That alone disqualifies him. (among many other things)

I don't think this has been posted on the Food/Drink board. Should you start one there too?

I mean ok. He did have a first round exit, something LeBron never did. But ok

Or they could land a max FA, then go after the weakened Warriors with:

Ball
Klay
Ingram
LeBron
JaVale

Then try to switch out JaVale for AD in the 2020 FA class.

Everyone acts like it's the end of days, but the Lakers have a ton of flexibility under the cap. Kawhi, Klay and Kemba would all get them in contention if the Warriors get weakened.

I think the more likely thing is that LeBron, like MJ and most great athletes, is a narcissist, so he loves him some LeBron.

There's no comparison of the human body in a 40 year old versus a 34 year old. There's a drastic difference in cardiovascular and respiratory capacity.

Notice how many 40 year olds are in the league.

Ok

In that case, LeBron is pretty much on pace with overtaking Mj then

This is the first time I have seen the MJ side want to use age instead of years in the league

LeBron looks like he might be able to squeak out the 8th seed this year to get one of those from the warriors.

As it stands, they're the 9th seed with the 2nd toughest schedule remaining in the NBA.

so you are saying bron has 6 more years to win 3 rings to equal jordan?

i mean, idk why thats important, 6 isnt a record or anything. Its just an argument.

Explain to me without saying 6 rings why jordan was better at the age 34 than lebron. Lets get some stats up there

I'm 37, so slow your roll, homey. Your mom wasn't complaining about my cardiovascular capacity at least.

And yeah, 37 isn't too old for a yo mama joke when you have the emotional maturity of someone half your age.

On pace with overtaking Jordan? How?

Lebron is sitting on his butt as he has for the last month because he's starting to break down.

Well, for starters, Jordan played all 82 games while LeBron is breaking down and has to sit out well over a month.

Also at the time of their 34th birthday - Jordan was in the middle of an MVP season. (and he followed it up with another one at age 35... to go along with a title in each season)

Meanwhile, LeBron is broken down on the bench.

If I was them, I would try to sign Kemba or another really good free agent this summer. Once the deadline passes that he is able to move, move him/Kuz/Ingram plus picks to get Davis.

Obviously this would require Davis being on board ahead of time.
