Two Airlink Embraer E-Jets Perform Stunning Flyover of DHL Stadium in Cape Town, But Were the Planes Dangerously Low?

quote:
Two specially branded Airlink Embraer E-Jets performed a stunning low-altitude flyover of the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, on Saturday just before kick-off between the South African Springboks and the New Zealand All Blacks as part of a new rugby tour called ‘Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry.’
The flyover was aired live on television screens across the country before going viral online after shocked viewers reacted to just how incredibly low the two aircraft appeared to fly over the stadium.
This video, taken from the official footage of the event, is what has left so many people gobsmacked by what they saw, with the first aircraft appearing to be perilously close to the roof of the stadium – and even more so when it starts to pitch up, causing the tail to drop even lower.

A+. Love the slight pull-up towards the end there.

frick that.
If that happened in America a lot of people would have a right to sue for 9/11 PTSD.
That was beyond irresponsible.
