I'm trying to figure out what the upside is for harbaugh agreeing to the interview and then douching his way through it.

Anyone got a link to what the Michigan boards are saying?

Gotta make you feel excited to witness your new HC crash and burn on national radio.

This is tough to listen to.

ETA: I can't stand Cowherd and his questions are usually just terrible, but Jim Harbaugh was awful. That was like pulling teeth and I don't think Cowherd did anything to deserve such a shitty interview.

I'm neutral on Cowherd. Some days he's great and has good interviews and has good opinions. Other days he throws just absolute shite against the wall and sees what sticks.

But that right there was bad and it wasn't his fault at all. He has good questions, Harbaugh seemed like he was having fun being a dick

I'm sure kids are lining up now to play for Harbaugh after listening to that.

What a douche Harbaugh was in that.

He's such a dick. And he acts like everyone around him is too stupid to realize that he's acting like an arse on purpose. It's too much for him to just stay away from things or not comment on them. He has to rub it in everyone or everything's face that he does not give a frick about em.

I can't even imagine how he talked to people in the 49ers front office.

Do you really think Ohio State will beat Michigan year in and year out now with Harbaugh?

Why, yes I do. Same shite, different day with Michigan. You people sing the same tune every time you get a new coach.

Here is what the mgoblog guy says.

quote:

I dunno man. I wonder if Harbaugh, a high-functioning lunatic, has points at which his function isn't so high. There is a general antipathy for press conference questions… a lot of the time. There is a general antipathy for lazy questions… some of the time. The questions Cowherd fired off were typical Cowherd: somewhat off-putting but nothing that an average person would get his dander up at, and Harbaugh is immediately in I Don't Know mode.

There are ways I think you can rescue it when he gets in that mode. Number one is talking about his players. Harbaugh loves talking about guys he has coached. But I don't think Cowherd really did anything. Harbaugh just wasn't in the mood from the drop. Steve Lorenz accurately describes it as "troll on troll crime."

I'm too lazy to read the thread on it.

What you'd expect. They're doing a fabulous job of turd polishing.

Know who you are interviewing, especially considering Harbaugh is one of the toughest interviews to get and do in sports. This hurts Cowherd much more than Harbaugh. It's a major screw up for Cowherd and it's not the first time.

If he still has his ESPN job by the end of the year I'd be surprised. Kids love playing for coaches that don't take crap and are a bit crazy.

Why did harbaugh agree to this? He clearly did not want to participate.

Because why pass up an opportunity to show everyone that he's above this interview and that he doesn't give a frick about it? That's his favorite!

I'm glad cowherd at least spoke out at the end to him and called him out and ended that shite on his terms.

Breaking News: Jim Harbaugh is difficult to deal with.

Dude, if people thought Saban was a dick at LSU, this guy is about to be worlds biggest a-hole at Michigan.

Saban might be a dick, but Harbaugh likes to embarrass people. There's a huge difference.

Yeah, I feel bad for Cowherd. The dude knows his role as a "rah-rah" guy and lobbed beach balls to Harbaugh. I already didn't like Jim, and this furthers the point. Does the guy think he is bill Belichik?
