I think a lot of people are missing the whole point of the thread.

If they go 15-0 and win every game by 20+, and then you decide to call them the best ever, what good is that?

How must we forget that nothing exists outside of Roll Tide. Brodie Croyle was robbed. Best QB ever?

I don't know, Miami had some teams that were littered with studs up and down both lineups. Canes were producing beasts on defense and offense.

Probably as close as you will find next to this Bama team.

Although we still don't know how good the defense is, their offense is forcing teams to become 1 dimensional immediately, because after 4 minutes, they are down 21.

A&M is a 8 (?) win team that Bama didn't completely destroy. Which solidifies my point.

I get you don't want aggie lumped in with pure garbage. Ok. But that win doesn't make Bama the best EVER...
bullshite. its the idea that you have to be a playoff team or go 11-1 to be considered not pure garbage that this board throws around every single day. if we look at A&M and consider them pure garbage because they probably arent an 11 win team, then basically everyone plays completely pure garbage. A&M may be shite, but they also look like they can be an 8/9 win team. is that the greatest thing ever? of course not. but its not pure garbage and it bothers me that people continue to take such extreme positions on teams to fit their takes

That 1983 Nebraska team wasn't simply one of the best teams that decade, they arguably could be one of the best teams of all-time just they lost to Miami in the Orange Bowl what a thrilling game that was

If you would have only saw it LIVE and been born that team would have looked less impressive as you say..... since you like highlights soooooo much go back and find the kickoff classic from that year.. PSU vs. Neb... Tom said after the game that his teams always got better between the 1st and second game... they dominated the defending NC... yet they weren’t even close to as good as 1995 Neb team....

I didn't bring the 95 Neb team up, you did, they're clearly one of the great college teams of all-time Mount Rushmore team however I think as far as best teams and remembrance and dominance, the 83 Huskers at least shouldn't be forgotten simply bc they lost the final game in a nailbiter

Overall The SEC was not that great that year and Bama only played 2 of them and went 1-1 in the regular season but the offenses were not good at all. The SEC has been the best conference but it lagged and still does, the rest of college FB in offense
