WTF are you talking about Alabama or LSU in this thread?
CHILL.....THE.....F###....OUT!! I was simply responding to the LSU fan who went that route.
I realize this is a serious thread and I agree with Trey. Don't really give a crap about Bama's computer rating being hurt yet certain fans of certain schools won't let it go.

I understand it but you act as though the board never thought of this. Maybe they don't believe they can dismiss him legally? Who knows, but he is coaching on Saturday and I have been trying to find out why?

PS love how the news this morning whimsically described what happened to the news truck as 'toppled'.
no, they tore it the F up

I'm sure they did. I'm sure they also considered he is an actual coach and a win over Nebraska and possible BCS berth is worth a LOT of money...money they will need very shortly to pay for this scandal.

Damn. They got fricking pissed at that news truck apparently.

I think every Big Ten bowl partner will be threatening to break their contract rather than host Penn State this year.

Children were raped! Nobody SHOULD care how their football team will benefit from this! What's wrong with you?!
no one is saying that they are happy about this. no one is saying, "yes, we are going to go to the NC because Penn State really screwed up." But, at some point, the discussion must be had. I agree that it means nothing in comparison to what happened to the kids. But, it doesn't mean that it doesn't matter discussion.
Do you think that ESPN GameDay is just going to sit around and cry for 3 hours until football games start? No. They'll discuss football. They'll discuss matchups between teams. And, inevitably they'll discuss how this situation will affect the rest of college football.

That was some compelling TV last night. PSU students acting like complete assholes. Except for the one kid who said he thought the whole thing was disgusting.

If you feel that you must discuss it, start another thread. This is not the place for it.

this is the More Sports Board. I'm pretty sure this is the perfect place for this discussion. If you do not want to participate, that is fine. Ignore any posts that have to do with sports on the more sports board.

However, the grand jury indicted the AD and the former head of PSU police for perjury and said nothing about Paterno...which everyone was saying earlier in the week meant that they believed him or at least felt he was honest in his testimony.
so its possible that JoePa could go down for Perjury too?
As for the forfeit being mentioned on the Rivals mainboard, there was discussion on ESPN yesterday that a small, but vocal, minority of the Nebraska fanbase was saying that as a show of support for the victims, Nebraska should refuse to play the game. On 790 the Zone here in Atlanta Barnhardt was just saying that given what was seen on tv with the riot and attack on the t truck, what does Pelini and the Nebraska administration think about taking their kids into such an environment. Potential forfeit but by NU and not PSU?

So has anyone ran with this story? Anymore updates on it?
It's the DRUDGE HEADLINE now.
Y! story.

quote:
Pittsburgh radio personality Mark Madden, who penned a column for the Beaver County Times back in April of this year named "Sandusky a State secret," a column which foreshadowed the recent scandal which has absolutely gutted those of us in the Penn State family, was a guest on the Dennis & Callahan Morning Show on WEEI sports talk radio out of Boston on Thursday morning. During his appearance, Madden, who has been mostly right regarding this issue from the very start, dropped what can only be called a bombshell, an announcement which could mean far more than the end of Joe Paterno's career.
Madden stated that two "prominent columnists" are currently investigating a rumor that Jerry Sandusky's Second Mile Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed to serve underprivileged youths, was "pimping out young boys to rich (Penn State) donors." Madden went on to say that Jerry Sandusky was told by those running the show at Penn State football that Sandusky had to retire after allegations made in 1998 that the defensive coordinator was guilty of "improper conduct with an underage male." Sandusky, thought by some to be Joe Paterno's successor at the time, abruptly and somewhat shockingly retired from coaching in 1999.
It actually gets worse. Madden went on to say "When Sandusky quit, everybody knew; not just at Penn State. It was a very poorly kept secret around college football, in general. That is why he never coached in college football again and retired at the relatively young age of 55, young for a coach." Madden also called the Second Mile Foundation "the perfect cover" for Sandusky's scheme.
I want to be absolutely clear about a few things. These reports, as of the writing of this piece, are coming only from Mark Madden, and they are currently only rumors and speculation. With that said, Mark Madden has been mostly correct about a grand jury investigation which was sealed until very recently. I'm not suggesting that I 100 percent believe Madden to be correct. I'm certainly not ignoring a word he's saying regarding the Sandusky case at this point.

start waterboarding the freak Sandusky.
he'll give names. Then waterboard them. Ferret out the whole sick group of pedos.
Then kill them all with the hottest fire you can make.

My heart does go out to the players at Penn State. No fricking way they knew about any of this, and although they are no where near the victims that the kids are, they are still a pretty hefty chunk of collateral damage.

You know as crazy as it sounds, that might actually be a good idea.
And yeah, I know torture is like illegal or some shite, but sometimes there are cases where basic human rights might should be foregone.
I mean you torture some freak that likely deserves it and maybe stop something horrible from happening to 100 kids down the road and out other fricking up freaks that need outing.
