Things are not going well for Michigan State

2-3, 0-2 in big ten play. 2 wins against Toledo and Eastern Michigan.
Got destroyed by Wisconsin today.
Ball knowers like me said Pat Fitzgerald was a total shite hire. Meanwhile, Northwestern has flourished without that meat head.

The roster he took over was genuinely terrible and while they’ve recently gotten huge booster financial commitments that will allow them to be competitive again, it wasn’t available to him building his first team. He didn’t walk into Baton Rouge with a blank check. If the remaining roster is terrible and you can’t afford good players in your big transfer class, good year 1 results aren’t possible. This is basic stuff

They've basically hovered around .500 with Braun.
Let's not act like Michigan State was a good situation to walk into either. Tucker and Smith left a mess that wasn't going to be cleaned up quickly. At least not with what they had been spending on NIL.
Fitz may not work out there, but you'd have to be an idiot to judge him after 5 games.

Folks here judge coaches by the first quarter, and some do it by the first drive of a game.
