We are a SEC school that is a major research university, a land grant school and the flagship school of the State. You are not our competitors and stop trying to be, it makes you all look stupid.

This really bothers you, doesn’t it. You have been yelling about how ULM should try to brand themselves as LOUISIANA as well, so you obviously have no problem with them doing it. But you throw a hissy for with us doing the same. You’re just another “know your place, keep things the way they are” hater.

Athletic powerhouse? Absolutely. Academic powerhouse? That’s a joke.. if we’re talking sports, LSU can shite on damn near everyone. If we’re talking academics, don’t act like LSU is significant.

LSU is actually a very good institution of higher learning. They have some strong programs in Landscape Architecture, Construction, and Agriculture.

That comment isn't founded in reality.

Just like UL(L) having strong programs in engineering, nursing, and computer science (which LSU attempted to steal decades ago). So.......

Well, even though they were not able to steal it like they wanted, they went to plan B: they left us alone but added the same programs there. So much for not wasting money on having duplicate programs in multiple schools.
And we shouldn't forget that they did steal our vet school way back in the day.

Hence, LSU’s current financial predicament

Instead of focusing on the programs that are actually good at the school, let’s just waste money by adding more because “we have to have it too!”

I didn't take a swipe at Louisiana. All I mentioned was that LSU had some academic relevance. I don't know where the stolen programs even came into play.

Yes, agreed that they do have some 'strong' programs.......when compared to the majority of all the other in-state, public schools. But they are less than average when compared to other SEC schools, much less when you compare them to other schools nation-wide.
And UL can go head-to-head with them in most, if not all, of any of those 'strong' lsu programs.
And to top it off, it will now be substantially more difficult to get into UL than lsu.

GUARANTEED ADMISSION CRITERIA:
2.5 GPA AND ACT ENGLISH 18 and ACT MATH 19
OR 2.0 GPA and composite ACT 23.
No remedials.

LSU may screw around with the ACT 23 requirement, but I doubt it drops below the above.

When is ULL going to stop renting a place for its basketball teams to play? Because big time programs have a place for its hoops team to play and all. Is that LSU’s fault that you have to rent the Cajun Dome? On that note, how is attendance going for ULL’s programs? I bet they are fired up about the bowl game right?

Majority of Cajun fans are realistic, but the delusional are so annoying.

Is that why the defending national champions rent an arena? I guess they aren’t big time

Just when the stupidity gets to a level you go and make it worse in this thread.

The university OWNS the Cajun Dome dumbass. They lease it back to the city for management and scheduling.

Well, mostly true: it was built on University land by the state (so it is owned by UL), funded by the city and is managed by the CD commission.....which is headed by UL. No 'rent' required or paid in a way shape or form. Ever.

Not that facts are going to get in the way of that idiot.

It’s on university land, so we don’t pay rent genius

At least get your facts in line before talking trash.

And while you call our fans delusional, your fans are asking your university to become an independent because yall think there’s some conspiracy against LSU by the SEC officials. And to make matters worse, one of your finest started a thread on this exact board about asking an Alabama commit from U-High to pay LSU for “punitive damages” for using LSU facilities to train. So maybe you should think twice before calling out fans from other schools “delusional.”
