It sucks. It's that bad. NFL reffing is that incompetent today. Pretty much everything about NFL officiating needs to be thrown in the trash and revamped.

From that new roughing the passer rule being so stupid to referees missing upwards of 8 to 10 calls a game, the idea that NFL referees are legitimately trying to fix games is idiotic. Are they really good enough to do it? I see incompetency. Not fixing games.

Legitimately fixing games would take too many moving parts and too many people to keep quiet. It's not realistic.

The refs are the best refs in the world just like the players are. Refs miss calls. Players drop passes, Fumble the snap, Miss extra points. Etx etx. I never for the life of me have been able to figure out why people ONLY blame the refs.

I call it being mans man. like coach will wade. No excuse making here. Saints have ample chances to render any bad call irrelevant. It killes me to say it. But We didn’t get it done.

The NFL rulebook has gotten so thick and hyper-technical it is taking over the sport.

Admittedly, that doesn't apply to the NFCCG's non-PI call. That was just a bad missed call.

But it seemed like the officials were front and center all day, and the drama created by replays and ref huddles nearly matched that created by the players and coaches.

This times eleventy billion.

We see players and coaches often make some of the dumbest decisions you can or really can't imagine. I don't know why people think refs are immune to making horrible decisions as well.

I don't give a shite what he said, if a call like that happened against LSU Wade would kill the referee responsible

Sure, there can be a rogue NFL ref or 2 on their own.

But the idea of an actual conspiracy with the NFL calling the shots, no chance that can be pulled off for years and years without it coming to light. Just couldn't happen.

It’s almost like it’s never happened in professional sports

He clearly meant the NFL calling the shots to fix the winners, not 1 rogue Tim Donaghy style ref.

There are no refs incompetent enough to frick that one up. Sorry but that wasn’t a mistake. Anyone who believes it was a miscue has to be retarded or really doesn’t watch much football.

Yet in football, we see players and coaches make the most incompetent and indefensible decisions all the time.

But refs, nope, they couldnt do the same.

There’s no they’re outright fixing games and shite.

But if you don’t think at least half of them are betting and/or getting orders from Roger to lean to one side then I don’t know what to tell you other than continue sticking your head in the sand

NFL refs have been shitty for a long time now... this is nothing new. Obviously the no call on the PI was horrible, but Sean Payton also deserves a lot of blame for bad clock management. No way the saints should have been throwing on first and third down to even put themselves in that situation.

You know boom, typically I always try to look at it from the ref’s perspective to see how they may have messed up, but there really is no defense for the 2 (maybe even 3) officials who missed that call.. none

How could they both be looking directly at the play, and not throw a flag?

The Rams stuffed our running game all day, and that play that they complete that pass 9.5 times out of 10. You play to win the game, not play to ‘not lose’ it

I don’t have a problem with the playcalling
