Good eye. Just glancing at Rafa's draw, it looks pretty easy. I'd be surprised if we don't have a Rafa v Grigor/Nick semi. I'm picking the wee one Goffin out of the bottom half.
live draw.
printable draw.

I'm too lazy to start the Open thread. I'll leave that up to you autists.

Man, a very favorable draw for Nadal. Fed will have his work cut out for him.

I promise not to bitch about standardized tennis and how Fed is not the GOAT until at least Wednesday.

I swear the spanish federation pays for theses draws

Year in and year out Nadals draws are cakewalks. He avoided stan, del potro, and Djok on his side:all the scary lower seeds

He's just saying courts are homogenized, which is part of the argument for why three guys have completed career grand slams in the past decade.

SMS' favorite baw, Isner, went into a shithole indoor clay court and ground out a fifth set tiebreak win against tricky Lajovic. That should get us through, but you never know. Thank god Nole isn't playing. Even at 50%, he'd be killing our guys.

We could legit win the whole thing. I believe France is the only other team that can/will field 3 guys in the top 25 or so. Home matches would help big time as everyone chooses clay against us on the road.

I saw Grigs had to pull out of his home tourney with a shoulder injury. Funny I said last month that he’s the least likely player in the top 10 to get hurt. Wawrinka is replacing him in the draw.

Stan in a 250 event. What could go wrong?

Harrison/Johnson clinched it in doubles. Next up... Belgium. They have Goffin, but not much else.

I just watched Coric pound Shapavplov - I didn't realize he is a natural lefty...noticed him signing balls LH after the DC match and did a double take. Is indeed a natural LH. He is a guy that I think can definitely play above his ranking (high 40's).

No wonder why his backhand is better than his forehand. I never really thought of that. Makes you wonder how/why he ended up playing righty.

For anyone who likes unique conditions, Quito is played on clay at 9,350 feet in the mountains of Ecuador. The reigning champ is Victor Estrella Burgos. Not only that, he’s going for his 4th Quito title in a row. After tonight’s win, he’s 16-0 in the tourney.

What’s really interesting is that, at 37 years old, he has never even reached a final of another ATP event in his career. Yes, this is the same guy who went bananas after winning one single game vs. Rafa in the Aussie Open.

Can anyone confirm or deny that Tennys has been on a bender ever since the AO?
