I hope he plays at least one of the clay masters 1000's and the French

Agree in order to stay sharp and pick up a few points. I'd play Rome. Monte Carlo is so early and Madrid has a bit quirky conditions. But, I can understand him not wanting to tweak something before the grass. He got cute playing Montreal last year and it ruined his hardcourt season.

Rome

In 1997 I lucked out and stood courtside on an outer court in Rome and watched Pete Sampras and Michael Chang hit for about 30 minutes.

And the #1 ranking.

Out of curiosity, anyone still holding out on labeling him the GOAT as of right now?

I guess you can use the 15-23 H2H with Nadal and 22-23 H2H with Djokovic to make a case against him. But, with this run in the last year, he is it, unless Nadal eventually catches up in majors. Roger is still 12 behind Connors in titles. I think that one is out of reach.

Anderson beats Sam in a third set tiebreaker in Long Island.

He won't. I'd set the over/under for Nadal at 17.5 majors.

Kyrgios pulls out of del ray with a phantom elbow injury. Agassi was recently quoted that Kyrgios' talent was "unprecedented" before asking rhetorically whether you would bet on him.

I'm surprised that Sandgren is playing Rio instead of Del Ray. He won his first match, though, and has Fabio in the next round.

If I'm looking at the draw correctly, Tennys was the only American to travel down to Rio.

Dang.

Radio guy Chris Mad Dog Russo can be annoying, but he loves tennis, so I have a soft spot for his weirdness. Anyway, he went on a rant today destroying Young for playing the racism card. Apparently, the ATP did a thorough investigation. All evidence, including a ballkid or something right on the changeover, showed Harrison didn't do anything wrong. He said while Harrison can be a hothead idiot, he got wronged here. Just thought that it was cool a national radio guy with his own SiriusXM channel focuses on this stuff.

Big win for Riley Opelka over Ryan Harrison. And Fritzy over Slamming Sammy.

Tennys vs Fognini going now. Let's go Tennys!

Another player that is on fire right now is Fitz. Couldn't even make the main draw at the AO, don't think he has lost a match since.

Those courts looked completely flooded yesterday. I was thinking they would be destroyed, but they must drain really well.

Tiafoe was headed for like a 6-1 loss in the first against Delpo and somehow has it at 4-all?

I think Shapo and Fritz are playing tomorrow. That is super spicy.

I see that Stan retired in Marseille. That blows.
